Trying to avoid getting sick every now and then? Here are a few tips that might help you to stay healthy.

1. Stay active

Exercising is the best thing you can do to stay healthy. It helps to control stress, improve sleep, boost mood and reduces the risk of falling sick too often.

2. Get good sleep

Lack of sleep can affect our immune system; and can make us prone to catching cold and flu. Our immune system is designed to protect us from illness, but when it's not functioning properly it can lead to more sick days.

3. Have balanced and healthy diet

We can't completely fight the viruses and bacteria which float around us! But we can certainly give our immune systems a better chance at preventing illness before they strike us. Eating well isn't just about weight loss; it's about making your immune system healthy as well. Good nutrition and good health are intertwined.

4. Avoid using plastic water bottle

No doubt the plastic water bottles are quite convenient to carry but according to the researches storing or drinking water in plastic can be carcinogenic and can have adverse effect on the immune system as well. The best and the safest way is to store water is in glass bottles.

5. Take more sunlight and fresh air

Constantly being indoors puts you in close contact with people and their germs. This is why it is important to be in sunlight and take fresh air to get rid of germs. A happy stroll not only will give you a break from all those germs but can actually boost your immunity.

6. Don't touch your face often

Viral or bacterial infections are easily spread through touch. Make sure that you keep your fingers or hands away from eyes, nose and mouth as much possible and also make sure to clean your hands often.
