audioVideo Exclusive: Marilyn Hacker on Adrienne Rich

"It seems clear that one intention of Adrienne Rich as a poet was, at least since the 1960s, to do something useful--and not only useful to younger poets." In this video clip, filmed during the 2012 Poets Forum, Marilyn Hacker considers the political and aesthetic implications of Adrienne Rich's work.

"Still, for that
little while, we visited
our possible life."

- Jack Gilbert, from "Going There"
