World Poetry Day Is March 21

While National Poetry Month is fast approaching, we cannot forget the poets, literary festivals, and cultural communities abroad. On March 21, join the poets, organizations, libraries, and publishers all over the world that will be celebrating poetry in all its forms—as written verse, as oral tradition, as collaborative art, and of course, as universal dialogue.

National Poetry Month’s
Dear Poet Project

This April, we’re inviting students in grades 5-12 to participate in the Dear Poet project by watching readings by and writing letters to our Chancellors. All letters received by April 30 will be considered for posting on Poets.org. And, teachers, we’ve created a companion lesson plan just for you.
