About This Poem
“He Made This Screen” was published in Moore’s book Poems (The Egoist Press, 1921).
Marianne Moore was born on November 15, 1887, in Kirkwood, Missouri. Her honors include the National Book Award and the Pulitzer Prize. Moore died on February 5, 1972, in New York City.
