The Hurt Bird and the S**t   One day a man was stuck in bumper to bumper traffic, and he really had to take a s**t. So he got out of his car and went over to a bush and took a s**t in his hat. He couldn't leave his hat there because he had his name on it. He took his hat and on the way to his car he saw a police man. He covered the hat with his hand. The police officer came over and asked him what was in the hat.   The guy said, "It's a hurt bird."   The police officer said, "Let me see the bird."   The man said, "I can't if I take my hand away it will fly away."   The police officer said, "Let me see the bird."   The man said, "I can't - if I take my hand away it will fly away." They kept that up for about five minutes.   Then the police officer got mad and asked him one more time. "Take your hand away and I will reach in really fast and the bird won't fly away!"   The guy said, "Alright." To cross the straits my boxcar crept onto a barge—there was screeching, several tremendous thuds, then with a growl we sailed. I was already half-awake, anxious for a volcano, neolithic shrines, islands to explore off the main island… At my stop, early morning’s tarnish fell on a shuttered newspaper stand and torn campaign posters. A child playing near a livestock car sang about a weapon detonated in another nation, another hemisphere.   From the station and the song, I walked up the mountain road to a garden where grizzly men with camera phones greeted me, sleep still in the corners of their eyes, bougainvillea around their tents. I was to be eternalized and therefore loved. They waxed my nose and powdered my nether regions. After oatmeal and coffee, I was Jupiter’s— his bardash, his Ganymede, ningle, ingle, trug—bracing against a Doric column.   I felt numb a night later as rosemary blew through the lava fields.            Copyright © 2015 by Greg Wrenn. Posted: 12 May 2015 11:37 PM PDT You may also like: Kim Kardashian's Deepest Cleavage Pics Do You Keep People Happy?   Keeping people happy is one of the signs of God's presence in your heart because spreading and ensuring happiness around you is the a human-nature-based instinct which is concretely linked with Universal principles of God.   Making people laugh for a short span of time is not to be considered as keeping them happy altogether because laughter is just a sub-set of happiness. You might make person giggle or feel good with by a joke, a sitcom, a nice instant comment but this feeling is for a very short span of time but keeping people happy for long terms is your real achievement because it indicates a permanent demonstration of your character trait for possessing high degree of care and love for others.   Below are some good assessment points for you in terms of people's behaviour towards you:   1- Do people, directly or indirectly, appreciate you for your kind words and deeds quite often? 2- Do people keep in touch with you by sending text, emails, phone calls etc? 3- Do people trust in you and discuss their personal problems with you to seek advice? 4- Do people share their secrets because they consider you as a deep sea who would keep the secret? 5- Do people consider you as:   a. Soft-heart person? b. An empathic Listener? c. A helping hand? d. A conflict solver? 6- Do people learn new moral, social, financial or ethical lessons when they meet you? Do they consider you as a source of inspiration and positivity?   In case your answer to these questions is No then you need to work on things bringing happiness in their lives which will bring you one step closer to God's blessings. Aurangabad  In Maharashtra... The city was founded by Shah Jahan's son Aurangzeb. One can go kayaking, motorboating and sailing among other things. The Bahadurgarh Fort was once the home of Bilaspur royalty. The bridge at Kandraur was once the highest bridge in Asia. Bandla hill is famous for paragliding, if you're looking for more adventure. In Chhattisgarh... Bilaspur is the headquarters of South Eastern Coalfields Ltd., the largest and most profitable subsidiary of Coal India. The district of Bilaspur also has the largest number of cement factories in the state consisting of manufacturers such as Lafarge, Century, ACC. etc. The Bilaspur railway zone has been awarded for being the most profitable railway zone by the ministry of Indian railways for the fifth time in a row this year. The district is also well connected to the rest of the country by means of rail and road network hence improving the economy of the city. Bilaspur is also the Regional Headquarters of Chhattisgarh State Electricity Board.  3. Chamba In Himachal Pradesh... Located at the confluence of the Ravi and Sal rivers, the town has numerous temples and palaces, and hosts two popular jatras (fairs), the "Suhi Mata Mela" and the "Minjar Mela", which last for several days and involve music and dancing. Chamba is also well noted for its arts and crafts, particularly its Pahari paintings, which originated in the Hill Kingdoms of North India between the 17th and 19th century, and for its handicrafts and textiles. In Uttarakhand... Chamba in Uttarakhand is situated at a junction of roads connecting Mussoorie and Rishikesh with the Tehri Dam reservoir and New Tehri. Its nearby tourist places are Dhanaulti, Surkanda Devi Temple, Ranichauri, New Tehri, and Kanatal, halfway between Chamba and Dhanaulti. There are pleasant forests of pine and deodar trees, with some good views. Unlike Mussoorie, this place is fairly quiet and picturesque, hence an excellent place to relax. 4. Durgapur In Maharashtra... Durgapur is located in the interior Chandrapur district of Maharashtra towards Nagpur. In West Bengal... Durgapur, popularly known as the Steel City of eastern India, is emerging in the fields of medicine and education. Durgapur has a huge base of industries with two key steel plants, Durgapur Steel Plant and Alloy Steel Plant. Durgapur is already growing in terms of its medical facilities and educational institutes. It has many famous schools, colleges and other institutions. 5. Fatehabad In Uttar Pradesh... Fatehabad is 35 km south east of Agra and was founded by Aurangzeb in 1658. Today, the town is a major industrial and agricultural center in the state. In Madhya Pradesh... Fatehabad is a town and a village in Madhya Pradesh. It is also a railway junction that connects Ratlam to Indore. In Haryana... Fatehabad in Haryana is a city founded by the Tugluq Dynasty in the 14th century. Today, it is the headquarters of the Fatehabad district. Islampur is not categorised as a city; politically and demographically it lies between a town and a village, and is therefore called a notified area. The Delhi Darbar is a tourist attraction here. 7. Kharagpur In Bihar... Kharagpur has one beautiful lake known as Kharagpur Lake, and it is 3 km west of the city. Other tourist attractions include the Rameshwar Kund and Kali Mandir. In West Bengal... This town also has one of the largest railway workshops in India, and the third longest railway platform in the world (1072.5 m). Kharagpur has an Air Force base in Kalaikunda, and another in Salua. Kota is situated on the banks of the Chambal River, and has been identified as a counter-magnet city for the National Capital Region to attract migrants and develop as an alternative centre of growth to Delhi. Kota was once part of the Rajput kingdom of Bundi. It became a separate princely state in the 17th century. In Karnataka... Kota is on the way from Udupi to Kundapura. It was home to Kannada writer, novelist and Yakshgana exponent, K. Shivaram Karanth. It has several temples that are known for their coastal style architecture. In Uttar Pradesh... Kota is a census town in the Sonbhadra district in Uttar Pradesh. 9. Udaipur In Rajasthan... Udaipur was the lakeside capital of Mewar in 1559 A.D. Situated 53 km away from Keylong, this village was earlier known as Margul or Markul. Simply put, these species would exist today if humans weren't around. What's worse is the estimated 0.01% to 0.1% rate of extinction that has been calculated means between 200 and 10,000 are going extinct every year. And who is responsible? We are. Animal trafficking is one of the biggest reasons. Illegal hunting of endangered species for medicines, jewellery and decorative items is pushing them to the brink and putting the delicate balance of nature in jeapordy. Unfortunately, trafficking is still rampant across the world. Here's proof. 1. In the past two months authorities have prevented nearly 700 tortoise from being smuggled out of India. How many weren't caught is anybody's guess. 2. A seized head of a Royal Bengal tiger outside a hotel in Nagpur. The two men arrested at the airport were also carrying the skin of the tiger. 3. A worker from the Mumbai zoo carries a cage of rare birds confiscated by wildlife officials from a family that dealt in smuggled animals and birds in Mumbai. Keeping wild animals as pets is illegal in India. 4. A green turtle (Chelonia mydas) unloaded from a truck in Denpasar, capital city of the province of Bali, Indonesia. An attempt to smuggle 71 green turtles for food was foiled. The turtles, caught in the waters off Sulawesi Island, have an average weight of 100 kilograms. 5. A newborn baby Pangolin climbs the walls of a cage. The Thai custom office showed 175 Pangolins they found hidden in a truck heading into Bangkok. Pangolins, or Manis Javanica, listed as endangered species in CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species), are found in Southeast Asia. Some people believe that its meat and blood can enhance sexual virility. 6. A couple of Spider Monkeys, that had been found on a bus inside a bag with three dead monkeys, rest in a hammock at the Federal Wildlife Conservation Center on the outskirts of Mexico City. According to Mexico's Federal Wildlife Conservation Department, at least 2,500 different animals are rescued annually in the country, 70 percent from illegal animal trafficking within and outside the country and 30 percent from domestic captivity. 7. A Mexican Coyote, that had been rescued with other animals while being trafficked illegally in Mexico. 8. A Coati, which had been rescued from a home along with two others of its kind, sits inside its enclosure at the Federal Wildlife Conservation Center on the outskirts of Mexico City.  9. Protected Areas and Wildlife Bureau personnel inspect preserved Green Turtles and Hawksbill Turtles, locally known as "Pawikan," after a turn-over ceremony at the Bureau of Customs in Manila, Philippines. According to customs officials, they confiscated protected species amounting to 35 million pesos including 161 preserved Hawksbill and Green Turtles. 10. A Thai custom officer shows a False Gavial during a news conference at Thailand's customs department in Bangkok. Thai customs have found 451 turtles worth 1 million baht ($33,000) stashed in suitcases offloaded from a passenger flight from Bangladesh at Bangkok's bustling Suvarnabhumi airport. False gavials are a type of freshwater crocodile worth 10,000 baht each. 11. Long-tailed Macaque babies are seen inside a basket as police seized a truck smuggling them from Vietnam to China, in Changsha, Hunan province. Police arrested 11 people on Thursday trying to smuggle at least 100 long-tailed macaques, which is a second grade protected species in China. 12. A slow loris is carried in a cage by a wildlife department official in Kuala Lumpur. It was among other animals estimated to be worth $20,000, seized by the wildlife department during an operation against illegal wildlife traders. The illegal global wildlife trade is estimated to be $8 billion a year worldwide, according to TRAFFIC, a wildlife trade monitoring network. 13. A wildlife department official holds a Malayan Sun Bear in Kuala Lumpur. The Sun Bears are found only in the tropical jungles of South East Asia. 14. A plastic bag containing thousands of confiscated Elvers (young eels) at a cargo terminal in Ninoy Aquino International airport in Manila. According to Philippine law, fingerlings are not to be exported unless for scientific or education purposes. 15. A man in handcuffs crouches next to slaughtered pangolins after they were seized by the authorities, at an underground garage in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, China. Pangolins are listed as a second grade protected species in China. 16. A policeman holds a water bottle with a yellow-crested cockatoo put inside for illegal trade, at the customs office of Tanjung Perak port in Surabaya, East Java province, Indonesia. Police arrested one man traveling by ship from Makassar, Sulawesi, with 22 of the endangered cockatoos held inside water bottles. 17. Customs officers check wolf skins at the Customs Inspection Center in Beijing Capital International Airport. A trading firm in Beijing smuggled a total of 645 pieces of wolf skins from Greece. 18. African grey parrots rescued from an illegal trader by Ugandan officials at the Uganda-Democratic Republic of Congo border crossing are seen at the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre in Entebbe, southwest of the capital Kampala. Illegal trade in the parrots, which are valued between $300 and $700, has increased in recent years, according a spokeswoman for centre. 19. Tarantulas confiscated by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. A German national who shipped the tarantulas into the United States through the mail pleaded guilty to a federal smuggling charge.
