You may also like: The Hidden Dangers Of Smartphones Best Friends Build Their Tiny Town Together   Four couples that have been best friends for 20 years wanted a better way to live closer to each other and closer to the environment, so they pooled their money and decided to make a tiny town just for themselves! Their settlement, called the 'Llano Exit Strategy,' features four tiny cabins facing the Llano river outside of Austin, Texas.   The tiny cabins, each of which cost roughly $40,000, were designed by architect Matt Garcia to be as sustainable as possible. They feature slanted roofs with water barrels that can hold up to 5,000 gallons of rainwater, reflective walls to keep out unwanted heat in the summer, and special insulated windows. The interiors are made of plywood, which keeps costs down and gives the homes a warm and spacious feel.   The group of friends spends time there as often as they can, and they all plan to retire on the property.   These four couples have been best friends for 20 years, so they decided to make a tiny town just for themselves They pooled their money and build a small and sustainable place where they could grow old together Each of these homes cost only $40,000 Every 400-sq-ft cabin at the 'Llano Exit Strategy' has a queen-sized bed, a couch, a bathroom and a porch The interiors are covered in plywood – "It's a high-design finish that doesn't cost a lot of money," said architect Matt Garcia       Their roofs collect rainwater into water barrels that can hold up to 5,000 gallons "This is a magical place, but it's arid. We're doing what we can to reserve as much water as possible for the native trees and grasses," said resident Fred Zipp   The corrugated steel exteriors reflect sunlight, helping to keep the inside cool in the summer "It's like a Disney movie out here. We have hare, bobcat, deer, and all kinds of birds. And amid all this destruction, we have lost some really eminent religious sites. It's only sad that these irreplaceable structures have been affected by natural as well as man-made instances. Take a look at 9 most famous places of worship, from different parts of the world.  1. The Ummayad Mosque, Syria  This mosque, a world heritage site, was also known as the Great Mosque of Aleppo. It is assumed to be the home of remains of Zechchariah, the father of John the Baptist. The minaret of the mosque was built in 1090 and was destroyed during the civil war in Syria.   2.  Vatsala Durga Temple, Nepal   This temple was built in 1696, dedicated to goddess Durga. In April 2015, an earthquake of magnitude 7.8 destroyed this temple.  3.  The Prophet Jirjis Mosque, Iraq  The complex of this mosque was built in the 14th century in the city of Mosul. A part of the complex was also a shrine devoted to Nebi Jirjis, the Prophet George. It was said that the complex along with the shrine was destroyed by a radical Jihadist group.  4. The Mosque Of The Prophet Yunus (Jonah), Israel  This mosque, earlier known as Nestorian - Assyrian Church, was believed to be the burial place of Yunus or Jonah. In July 2014, the mosque was destroyed by the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant.  5. Maribojoc Church, Bohol, Philippines  This church, also known as Santa Cruz Parish Church or Holy Cross Parish Church was a Roman Catholic Church. In 2013, an earthquake of magnitude 7.2 destroyed it, leaving only the Sacred Heart of Jesus standing.  6. Christchurch Cathedral, New Zealand  This church was built in 1864 and is located in the heart of the city of Christchurch, New Zealand. In February 2011, an earthquake destroyed the spire and part of the tower and damaged other parts of the building as well. It was further damaged by earthquakes in June and December 2011.  7. Mayan Pyramid, Belize This was one of the most famous Mayan pyramids and was at least 2300 years old. It was destroyed by a construction company while digging from a crushed rock for a road-building project.  8.  Boudhanath Stupa, Nepal  This stupa was one of the largest in Nepal. In 1979, it was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site as it dominated the Kathmandu skyline. Sadly, in April 2015, after an earthquake of magnitude 7.8 hit Nepal, a major part of this stupa was damaged.  9. Monkey Temple, Nepal  Monkey Temple, also known as Swayambhunath is an old religious complex in Kathmandu. A lot of holy monkeys reside here. It is one of the most prominent Buddhist pilgrimage destinations. [Fropki] The Mother, the daughter and the Map Posted: 18 May 2015 05:58 AM PDT You may also like: 6 Girls in College You Will Sleep With The Mother, the daughter and the Map :)   A Mother was reading a magazine and her cute little daughter every now and then distracted her.   To keep her busy, she tore one page on which was printed the map of the world.   She tore it into pieces and asked her to go to her room and put them together to make the map again.   She was sure her daughter would take a lot more time and probably whole of day to get it done.   But the little one came back within minutes with perfect map.   When she asked how she could do it so quickly, she said, "Oh Mom, there is a man's face on the other side of the paper. Long As a Quart of Milk by Kevin Pilkington Posted: 18 May 2015 03:38 AM PDT View this email on a browser Forward to a friend May 18, 2015   Long as a Quart of Milk   Kevin Pilkington Once I undressed a tree, got a splinter in my thumb and decided that was it for one night stands.   The woman next door who dresses in clothes that make her look like the English countryside keeps yelling at her son about being spoiled.   I wish I could help him, tell her of course he’s spoiled it’s hot out so she should keep him in a room with the a.c. on. It would keep him fresh longer or at least as long as a quart of milk.   I rent a small studio in the tenement building next door that looks like Lou Reed. I’ve lived here for awhile and have no plans of moving.
