About This Poem

 

“The Dark Hills” was published in The Three Taverns: A Book of Poems (The Macmillan Company, 1920).

 

Edwin Arlington Robinson was born in Maine in 1869. He won the Pulitzer Prize three times for Collected Poems (1921), The Man Who Died Twice (1924), and Tristram (1927). Robinson died in New York City in 1935.
