2. The Grounds Of Alexandria
The brainchild of visionary magnate Ramsey Choker and eminent coffee guru Jack Hanna, The Grounds is enclosed in a glitzy granary with captivating alfresco and biological gardens replete with a galley garden, chicken pen and a feast of unique seating. The decor is chic and includes flower pots in tainted wagons and smudged typewriters cloaked in flower beds that seamlessly lead into the kids play zone. 3. Coogee Pavillion
There's a lot that this place has on offer; a pizzeria, an oyster counter, grill area, juice section, cafe, cocktail zone and a raw bar. That's not all. They also house 1950's ping pong tables, a makeshift theatre, flowers galore, a sea-themed library and a fun zone for old-school and slow-paced games. Above the open kitchen, one can see boards displaying the catch of the day, Oysters and fresh Sashimi Platters. Don't miss the Coogee Dine burger, Lamb chops, Mediterranean Salads and Fish and Chips.

Take a quick look at this place and you will be so pleased that you did. This quaint little café/ patisserie serves restaurant style pastries for less than half the price. Owner and Chef Christopher introduces an assortment of treats that are both savoury and sweet. Absolutely unmissable are the Macarons and the divine Watermelon Cake. You can sit and enjoy your pastry with tea, coffee or juice or buy them to take away.

6. LP's Quality Meats
Situated on an otherwise quiet street in Sydney's upcoming district of Chippendale, LP's Quality Meats boasts of several meat delights searing away behind glass doors. Although smouldered and preserved meats are the headline attractions that are made under the watchful eye of the illustrious head-chef/owner, Luke Powell, LP's offers something for everyone. The menu changes constantly and is replete with easy, made-from-scratch dishes that are served with beverages.

7. Billy Kwong
Beloved celebrity Chef Kylie Kwong's restaurant Billy Kwong is one of the important toughies of Sydney's restaurant scene. You can actually watch Kylie and her team in action as the diners have an open view of the kitchen. The synthesis of Chinese and Native Australian cuisine is amazing. The menu also features exciting new items such as Steamed Mini Pork Buns, Fried Wild Weed Cakes with Chinese Red Vinegar and Weeds that Kylie collects from the local gardens. All this with a service that is genuine and attentive.
