Most of us don't know how to live in the moment. It is difficult at times, because we're either worried about the future or sad about the things that happened in past. This, in spite of knowing that neither the past or the future are in our hands. The only thing we can do, is think about the present and make it better. Here are few things you can do to stay in the present, and enjoy the moment.

1. Focus on your breathing

Find yourself a quiet corner and all you need to do is take a deep breath and focus on inhaling and exhaling. This can help you focus on the present moment once again. If possible try and do pranayam an ancient breathing exercise, once a day preferably in the morning. It will also help you to focus on your work better.

2. Try and be with positive people.

If possible surround yourself with positive, energetic and enthusiastic people. They are usually someone who try to live in the present. Try and pick that vibe from them and learn to be happy at the moment.

3. Time heals everything.

It's ok to be stuck in a loop of old memories no matter how hard you try to get away from them. When this happens, all you have to do is 'not' fight those memories or try pushing them away. Rather surrender yourself to time and let it heal them at its own pace. 

4. Be grateful.

Being grateful helps you to focus on the positive and is an amazing way to enjoy the moment. Try and notice all the good things that people do for you. Also try and make a habit of thanking people often.

5. Go slow.

Just go slow in life and savour each and every moment. Try and observe small little things in life that can awaken your senses to the world around.

6. Try and be more organised.

Manage your tasks in a way that you get time to complete each one before hand. If you plan your day even a bit, that helps you to give you a more relaxed schedule and leaves time for other things in life to savour, like your hobbies.

Remember what master Oogway said - Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, and today is a gift... that's why they call it present.

The Herbert Twins – Australia
 
They may be only 16 and the youngest on this list, but already Renee and Elisha Herbert are well-known as fresh-faced twin models for Peppermayo, a Sydney-based online fashion boutique. Interestingly, while active on social media and their "Ask Me Anything" page for fans, little information about their personal lives is online. If you follow wrestling in any capacity, you are likely to have heard of these drop dead gorgeous twins. Brie and Nikki are models, actresses, and pro-wrestlers currently signed to WWE. And both are in relationships with some of WWE's biggest male stars: Brie is married to Daniel Bryan, and Nikki is in a long-term relationship with John Cena. Originally from Scottsdale, Arizona, the sexy duo have been a part of several reality television shows, WWE video games, and awards shows.
 
 
The Crimmins Triplets – Ireland
 
Alison, Nicola, and Laura Crimmins are identical Irish lasses from the Isle of Man, an island between Great Britain and Ireland in the Irish Sea. The 29-year-old blonde bombshells have been modeling since they were 16. They've also done TV work, photo shoots, press calls, and advertisements for various projects. Presently, the sisters continue to model for agencies in both Ireland and the U.S., and also work in the beauty field.
 
 
The Davalos Twins – Colombia
 
Camila and Mariana Davalos were born in Lexington, Kentucky and began modeling at age 10 while living in Colombia. Their career kept evolving, and now at 27 they are classified by some as the best lingerie models on the catwalk. Like Kim Kardashian, they are well-known for their butts. They were also once hostesses of a show called Rumbas de la Ciudad, or City Parties. Camila is more outgoing and loves modeling for the cameras, makeup, and fashion, while Mariana is more introverted, and for her, the biggest upside is the paycheck. She remains in Medellin, Colombia, and Camila resides in Miami, Florida with her son.
 
 
The Feres Twins – Brazil
 
Now 28, Bia and Branca Feres are famous former synchronized swimmers. They started lessons in gymnastics when they were 3, and swimming when they were 7. Combining the two led the girls to rise to the top of the synchronized swimming world, where they remained until 2011 when it is rumored that they said goodbye to that life due to age, pursuing other things, and because they got breast implants. They also are models, actresses, and MTV presenters. However, there has been some controversy surrounding the sexual nature of their photographs, where at times they can even be seen touching each other in lingerie and swimwear.
 
 
The Rybka Twins – Australia
 
Samantha and Teagan Rybka are twin acrobats, dancers, athletes, and contortionists from Perth, Australia. They began learning acrobatics at the age of 3, and dance at the age of 6. Their mother was a former acrobat, herself. They grew up studying their art form at the Debra McCulloch Dance Academy, and all their hard work paid off when they made it impressively far into the seventh season of Australia's Got Talent. They also gained notoriety for a YouTube video they posted called "Rybka Twins – Dancers Leggo!" Sam and Teagan are now 20.
 
 
The Akse Quadruplets – The Netherlands
 
The Netherlands is a small country of 17 million, and they have only one set of identical quadruplets: Tessa, Esme, Bo, and Lisa Akse. The foursome's hometown is called Hardenberg, a small town in the eastern part of the country, and the pretty redheads starred in their own reality show there for quite awhile called "De Vierling", or in English, "Quads." All four have boyfriends, and while Lisa works in a hair salon, her sisters all studied social work. They are 23, and have a brother.
 
 
The Badura Twins – United Arab Emirates
 
Originally from Witrogoscz in west-central Poland, sexy sisters Klaudia and Laura Badura now split their time between England and Dubai. They are bloggers, models, artists, and fashionistas. Currently they are both Lily Lashes Ambassadors, and have one other sister and brother. They have modeled for Playboy and performed in the adult entertainment industry, even with each other. The girls studied Art and Design at Harrogate College in The U.K.
 
 
The Okapiec Triplets – Poland
 
Together, Aleksandra, Izabela, and Monika Okapiec make up the pop group Alizma, a combination of their nicknames. They first came to the United States as foreign exchange students in Washington, D.C., where they earned their undergrad in Arts Management, and later in Los Angeles, their Master's in Music with a specialty in violin performance. They have traveled the world performing, and have appeared on such shows as America's Got Talent, Hannah Montana, and Last Call with Carson Daly. They say their message through music is a positive and inspirational one of staying true to who you are.
 
 
The Taylor Triplets – America
 
Nika, Nicole, and Natalie Taylor may look familiar to you because their band, Red Roots, is a famous American bluegrass gospel trio, whose lyrics reflect their values of faith and family. Now 25, their musical journey began at age 5 when they joined the church choir, and went on to learn to play the violin, banjo, bass, mandolin, and guitar. They have released 3 studio albums so far, and are set to release a fourth in 2016. On their band's website, the girls say they share everything, including a bedroom, but they do not share clothes since they have differing styles, and their personalities are very different, too. But while these native Mississippians are Christian southern belles with a lot of charm, they are also a sexy ginger triple threat!
 
 
The Kim Triplets – Korea
 
These talented sisters form the Seoul-based pop trio Infinity of Soul. Jin Ah, Sun Ah, and Min Ah all play stringed fiddle-like instruments in addition to singing vocals. They incorporate music styles from all over the globe, inspired by African folk music, and Russian sounds, among others like electronic and fusion. Their latest album is a collaboration with two French artists and includes African rhythms. All three sisters graduated with honors from the Korean University of Arts with their Master's degrees.
 
 
The Abu Khadra Twins – Saudi Arabia
 
Saudi-born sisters Sama and Haya Abu Khadra are high-fashion, globe-trotting models. The glamorous duo have been featured on Harper's Bazaar Arabia's Best-Dressed List, and a piece in Vanity Fair Italia was written on the twins. Their mother owns an upscale boutique in Saudi Arabia's capital city of Riyadh, and her daughters frequently accompanied her on buying trips to Fashion Weeks around the world as they grew up. For a while, they called Dubai home, but are now in the U.S. (when not jet-setting off to some Fashion Week somewhere). They currently model, DJ, and are students at the University of Southern California studying fine art and film, unsure if they will continue to model in the future or choose another path.
 
 
The Tang Triplets – Canada
 
These beautiful girls (Jade, Joelle, and Mariah Tang) hail from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, where they were born on Christmas Day 1990 to an 18-year-old Ukranian mother, and their Chinese-born father. This unique blend of Asian and Eastern European heritage produced three gorgeous young ladies, who also happen to be quite talented. Besides doing some DJ work, and modeling in Canada and Asia, two of the three (Mariah could not get out of her contract in Asia at the time) had roles in X-Men: Wolverine, though the producers reportedly wanted all three girls. And though they may look identical, they are different heights, and have different personas: Joelle calls herself the "shy, weird one"; Jade is goofy and easy-going; and Mariah is a social butterfly.
 
 
The Pyfrom Quadruplets – The Bahamas
 
Born in Florida but raised in Nassau, Bahamas, Bahamian quads Jodi, Catherine, Christina, and Janelle Pyfrom now attend college in California. They were born 10 weeks early, and if identical quadruplets were not going to make headlines on their own, hours later in the same hospital, a set of triplets was born!
They had a modest upbringing in Nassau, where their different personalities emerged, though all four share the same affinity for dark chocolate and the same distaste for insects. Another thing they all share is a love of music, which is why they became a pop quartet called FourEver1. Someday they hope to have their own television show, which has always been their lifelong dream.

Breaking Spring

 
Matt Hart

seems like a good way to say
I spent all last week feeling helpless
and talking about it in terms of not being

 

Why can’t compassion change our lives
even half so completely as a suicide bomber,
or half so immediately as a natural disaster

 

Big ideas get me nowhere, so
the fact that breaking spring feels better
than cracking up is at least a start

 

toward a walk through Washington Park,
its trees in pink blossom, its white-yellow-purple
Tomorrow I will talk about Frankenstein

 

in bed and then I will talk about it with people
who are sleeping    I will say that it’s a book
about artistic responsibility    I will

 

say it’s alive     It’s alive     And some number
of eyes will stare back at me without believing
any of it matters, or without believing

 

it matters for them       And what can I say
to convince them     I have only my love
to recommend it beyond what it already is

 

My suspect credibility upon the rockets
of birds, the soft parts of people, the oceans’
inevitable, cyclical weeping     Who has time
for poetry has more time than they deserve

It's quite surprising that sage Ved Vyasa, when he lived, knew the earth was going to be a horrible place to live in in the coming 5,000 years. He had already predicted that men would slit throats for cash, fraud godmen would take over and the lifespan would be limited to just 50. 

In Srimad Bhagavatam, Vyasa had predicted the grim situations that would take place in Kaliyug. And he is bang on...

1. In Kali Yuga, wealth alone will be considered the sign of a man's good birth, proper behaviour and fine qualities. And law and justice will be applied only on the basis of one's power. - Srimad Bhagavatam 12.2.2

It's all about money today. The above-mentioned prediction is the foundation of almost every Bollywood potboiler that has a wealthy villain and a righteous hero who fights social injustice.

2. Men and women will live together merely because of superficial attraction, and success in business will depend on deceit. Womanliness and manliness will be judged according to one's expertise in sex, and a man will be known as a brahmana just by his wearing a thread. - Srimad Bhagavatam 12.2.3

Today, relationships are getting complicated day by day. In the age of Tinder, we only swipe right if we find someone attractive on the basis of their looks. Sex has become integral and a Brahman never really follows the rules of the sect.

3. As the earth thus becomes crowded with a corrupt population, whoever among any of the social classes shows himself to be the strongest will gain political power.- Srimad Bhagavatam 12.2.7

Isn't this true with what's happening in the country today? We are a country, where population has reached its peak. Narendra Modi emerged as a winner with his strong political campaign and is now ruling the country.

4. The citizens will suffer greatly from cold, wind, heat, rain and snow. They will be further tormented by quarrels, hunger, thirst, disease and severe anxiety. -Srimad Bhagavatam 12.2.10

Climate is a serious concern today. With no rains, even in the month of June, farmers are suffering losses and people are dying of drastic climate change.

5. Men will no longer protect their elderly parents. - Srimad Bhagavatam 12.3.42

What was predicted long ago is happening today. The cases of people throwing their parents into elderly homes is growing day by day. Old people are considered a burden and they are not respected anymore. It's a sad fact that their own blood detest them and send them to old age homes where they pass away, all the while remembering how much they struggled in these unfortunate days.

6. Cities will be dominated by thieves, the Vedas will be contaminated by speculative interpretations of atheists, political leaders will virtually consume the citizens, and the so-called priests and intellectuals will be devotees of their bellies and genitals. – Srimad Bhagvatam 12.3.32 

Illegal construction is all around and builders are the new thugs. Concrete jungles are being made by destroying trees. Fraud priests and godmen are looting people in the name of religion. Political leaders are eating up all the national income and corruption is choking the world everywhere.

7. Servants will abandon a master who has lost his wealth, even if that master is a saintly person of exemplary character. Masters will abandon an incapacitated servant, even if that servant has been in the family for generations. – 12.3.36

We don't respect our maids today. Somewhere, even they hate us but can't really do anything about it. There is no loyalty between both the parties and it all depends on how much money the master is offering and how much work is getting done in a lesser amount.

8. In Kali-yuga men will develop hatred for each other even over a few coins. Giving up all friendly relations, they will be ready to lose their own lives and kill even their own relatives. -Srimad Bhagavatam 12.3.41

People are killing each other over land. Be it brothers or relatives, there is no understanding over property matters. Pending cases in courts and no understanding between two parties lead to animosity that ends up in murders.

9. Uncultured men will accept charity on behalf of the Lord and will earn their livelihood by making a show of austerity and wearing a mendicant's dress. Those who know nothing about religion will mount a high seat and presume to speak on religious principles. -Srimad Bhagavatam 12.3.38

It was already predicted that there would be an Asaram bapu and Nithyananda Swami in Kaliyug, fooling innocent devotees and making indecent amount of money in the name of religion.

10. The maximum duration of life for human beings in Kali Yuga will become 50 years. -Srimad Bhagavatam 12.2.11

People are dying even before 50! Health is majorly ignored as fast paced lifestyles are making everybody unhealthy, reducing the average human life span.

11. Religion, truthfulness, cleanliness, tolerance, mercy, duration of life, physical strength and memory will all diminish day by day because of the powerful influence of the age of Kali. -Srimad Bhagavatam 12.2.1 

Every virtue mentioned above is steadily diminishing in today's world. Humanity is a thing of the past and all we can see is dangerous competition, which is making us greedy but leading us nowhere.

Animal Prudence

Mice drink the rainwater before dying by
the poison we set in the cupboard for them.
They come for the birdseed, and winter
is so grey here the sight of a single cardinal
can keep us warm for days. We’ll justify
anything—and by we, I mean I, and by
I, I mean we, with our man-is-the-only-
animal-who and our manifest destiny, killers
each of us by greater or lesser degrees.
Instead of a gun or knife in my pocket
there are two notes. Unwhich the//
dandelion, reads one. I don’t know what
it means but cannot throw it away;
it is soft as cashmere. The other says:
coffee, chocolate, birdseed. I should be
extinct by now, except I can’t make it
on to that list either. Like toothpicks
made of plain wood, some things are
increasingly hard to find. Even when he was
a young drunk going deaf from target practice,
my father preferred picking his teeth
to brushing them. My mother preferred
crying. They bought or rented places
on streets named Castle, Ring, Greystone—
as if we were heroes in a Celtic epic.
Our romanticism was earned, and leaned
toward the gothic, but lichen aimed
for names on gravestones far
lovelier than our own. It seemed to last
a long time, that long time ago, finches
pixelating the hurricane fences,
cars idling exhaust, dandelions bolting
from flower to weed to delicacy,
like me. Egyptians prepared their dead
for a difficult journey; living is more
—I was going to say, more difficult,
but more alone will do, imprudent—
unlike art—always falling below or rising
above the Aristotelian mean. In France,
a common rural road sign reads:
Animal Prudence. Purely cautionary,
it has nothing to do with Aristotle,
but offers sound advice nonetheless.
These days, I caution my father more
than he ever cautioned me. He hears
his aural hallucinations better and shows
greater interest: sportscasters at ballgames,
revelers at the parties he insists on.
He’s got all his own teeth, so toothpicks
must do the job. His pockets fill with them.
There are always half a dozen rattling
like desert bones in my dryer. I think
of the mason who chiseled his face
in the cathedral wall; he couldn’t write
his name. The yellow bouquets I’d offer
my mother by the fistful also got their name
in France: dent de lion, meaning teeth of the lion.
