Has it ever happened to you that you've lost something and then forgotten about it for some time, and then suddenly, to your surprise, you find that thing, and wonder 'hey how did this happen?'. Well, that moment there is a serendipitous moment. Serendipity gives us hope that whatever is lost can be found. And that these moments are rare and precious and that they need to be cherished.
Here are some moments when you have to give it to serendipity for bringing some life to a rather monotonous life.
1. You find a Rs 100 note in the pocket of an old pair of jeans
Your regular habit of putting your hands in your jeans pocket while talking leads you to remove a crumpled 100-rupee note. Voila! It's the same note you were searching the day you had snacks at the canteen and couldn't pay because you thought you had lost it. But, that wasn't the case as it was tucked away deep inside your pockets all this while.
2. A face you randomly spotted on a crowded street becomes your crush and you suddenly see that person being introduced to you by a friend
This 'dil mein laddoo phoota' situation will really reinstate your belief in serendipity. Imagine the acceptance of not being familiar with the person you've randomly fallen in love with, only to realise them standing next to you, extending their hand to say hello! Isn't that magical?
3. Imagine you're a wildlife photographer and are trying to click a bird. However, there comes another odd creature into the frame

That's the shot you were never expecting to get but now you've captured it! What made the creature appear?
4. You go for an interview without any expectations and you end up getting the job
Life is unpredictable. You never know what's going to happen the next moment. For instance, you decide to try your luck at an out-of-your-league job opportunity. However, one fine morning, an offer letter lands in your mail, leaving you pinching yourself to believe it's really happening!
5. You've lost your umbrella on a train, but a co-passenger returns it to you the next day
Losing an umbrella makes you realise how forgetful you can get, and that feeling is not a good one. But imagine, the joy of getting a lost umbrella back! It's truly an indescribable feeling.
6. You're on a vacation and you've passed a picturesque place where you wanted to pose but couldn't. Later on, random events lead you to the same place!
You were destined to be there, clearly. Maybe the bus didn't let you stop initially, but on the way to the hotel, the bus breaks down, giving you an hour to get clicked at your favourite destination. What luck!
7. You read your horoscope which says great things are in store for you, and something great actually happens
Call it a stroke of good luck or pure coincidence, but it feels truly great when the good predictions from your horoscope come true.
8. You ordered for a dress, but get a pair of jeans delivered instead. You throw a fit in anger, and just out of curiosity, you try it on. And it fits like a tee!
It's like those jeans were made for you. You decide to keep it and days later it becomes a favourite in your wardrobe.
9. When Alexander Fleming discovered penicillin by accident!
When Sir Alexander Fleming got bored of experimenting with the influenza virus in 1928, he left for a two-week vacation. It was when he was back that he noticed something wrong with his mold - no bacteria had grown around the mold, which ultimately resulted in the invention of penicillin!
