NEA's Read Across America Day   On March 2, schools and libraries nationwide will celebrate the joys of reading. Join the excitement (and get a headstart on National Poetry Month in April) by sharing our Poems for Kids and Poetry for Teens resources with your students and showcasing their favorite poems in an anthology. Announcing the Education Advisory Council   We've established an Education Advisory Council to help guide and champion our growing Education Program and advocate for the importance of poetry being taught in our nation's classrooms. Dear Poet Project 2018   Students are welcome to write letters to Elizabeth Alexander, Forrest Gander, Linda Gregerson, Terrance Hayes, Jane Hirshfield, Marilyn Nelson, Alicia Ostriker, Alberto Ríos, and David St. John as part of this year's Dear Poet project. Poetry for the Beginning of Spring   Welcome warmer weather and the changing season with these poems to read and share, and take a look at this collection of lesson plans for spring. Pi Day is March 14. St. Patrick's Day is March 17. World Poetry Day is March 21.
