Dear Poem-a-Day Readers,

I'm thrilled to share with you the twelve new guest editors of Poem-a-Day who will each curate a month of poems in 2020. These award-winning poets, who include the current U.S. poet laureate Joy Harjo, represent wide-ranging expertise and editorial perspectives, and hail from ten different states.

Working with guest editors to produce Poem-a-Day helps ensure that we are publishing an even greater array of poets and poems. With the guidance of the forthcoming 2020 guest editors, we'll present another year of essential reading.

The twelve guest editors are:

January:  Meg Day

February:  Roger Reeves

March: Dana Levin

April (National Poetry Month):  Joy Harjo

May:  Monica Youn

June:  Ari Banias

July:  Brian Blanchfield

August:  Fatimah Asghar

September:  David Tomas Martinez

October:  Sasha Pimentel

November:  Heid E. Erdrich

December:  Jane Hirshfield

The full press release, including the editors' biographies, is available here.

Thank you for being a part of the Poem-a-Day community of readers. I hope you look forward to the year of reading we have ahead.

My best regards,

Jennifer Benka
