Stay Motivated for the Long Haul

"Keep the passion for change alive."
When you decide to change something in your life you start out with commitment, determination and passion to make it happen. But, as time passes the euphoria that dominated your thoughts has a way of waning.
If you let your passion completely fizzle out, the commitment you made becomes internalized as failure. You feel like you let yourself down. Your self esteem and self confidence sink. Don't let this happen!
Realize it is up to you and nobody else to stay motivated. Dig deep within your being and keep pushing to reach your goal. It's up to you to keep the passion fire alive and you can do it.
Right now is the time to go the extra mile. You have come such a long way now is not the time to quit!
Live A Life That Matters

Ready or not, someday it will all come to an end.
There will be no more sunrises, no minutes, hours or days.
All the things you collected, whether treasured or forgotten,
will pass to someone else.
Your wealth, fame and temporal power will shrivel to irrelevance.
It will not matter what you owned or what you were owed.
Your grudges, resentments, frustrations, and jealousies will finally disappear.
So, too, your hopes, ambitions, plans, and to-do lists will expire.
The wins and losses that once seemed so important will fade away.
It won't matter where you came from, or on what side of the tracks you lived,
at the end. It won't matter whether you were beautiful or brilliant.
Even your gender and skin color will be irrelevant.
So what will matter? How will the value of your days be measured?
What will matter is not what you bought,
but what you built; not what you got, but what you gave.
What will matter is not your success, but your significance.
What will matter is not what you learned, but what you taught.
What will matter is every act of integrity, compassion, courage
or sacrifice that enriched, empowered or encouraged
others to emulate your example.
What will matter is not your competence, but your character.
What will matter is not how many people you knew,
but how many will feel a lasting loss when you're gone.
What will matter is not your memories,
but the memories that live in those who loved you.
What will matter is how long you will be remembered,
by whom and for what.
Living a life that matters doesn't happen by accident.
It's not a matter of circumstance but of choice.
Choose to live a life that matters.
 
Choose to focus
Is there something that frustrates you? Don't focus on the frustration, but rather on the opportunity for improvement.
Is there something that makes you angry? Instead of being consumed with anger, consider the opportunities for understanding.
Is there something that frightens you? Don't focus on the fear, but rather on the opportunity to better prepare yourself.
Is there something that makes you sad? Rather than focusing on the sadness, be thankful for the fact that you care so much.
Is there something that makes you anxious? Don't focus on the anxiety, but rather on the positive purpose you wish to achieve.
No matter what happens, you are always free to choose where to focus. Choose to focus on the positive, and you'll be choosing to bring great value to life.

    We know from accounts of the judgment of Paris how Love took first:
    the apple burnished by—it turns out—her own husband, working the bellows,
    forging to Discord's specifications, her need to break the spaghetti strands
    of marriage, her undiluted vitriol, that oversaw his flux and foundry,
    guided the sparking hammer to its urgent deed.

    Spoils of war.

    Power, undeterred and wily as it always is, the figural eye and its agency,
    took gladly the second chair, from which advantage machinations could be seen.
    Advised, conferred, deployed the second wave of ships, provided mercenary aid
    to every side and fanned the air, and made her counsel with all sides, supporting
    every one and none, out-waiting tides.

    If we believe the Greeks, the spokes of Fortune's wheel in constant turn would allow
    the last to be the first—beatitudes bestowed upon the losing side,
    a draught of time in which the wily ones, by their equine portage made
    the mind the victor over Love's inconstancy and strife,
    and, over brute acts, gave thought dominion in a golden age. But that's just myth.

    Wisdom, you are the last to whom I turn. Not for your spear,
    fashioned in that same fire as all bright jealous objects of desire. But for your shield.
    Protect the least of us. Or lift me from this battlefield,
    and take me home.
