Have Something to Live For
"A clear vision is the first step."
Are you happy with how you are living your life? If not, do you have a goals and plans for change?
Having goals makes work and life more interesting, exciting and engaging. Goals help you recognize opportunities when they strike. And, merely because they exist, you are inspired to take action when opportunities present themselves.
Take time to write down what you want and why you want it. Write about your ideal life. What does it look like? Where is it? What are you doing? Who are you with? Describe everything – the place, the people, and most of all how you feel.
Congratulations! You have taken the first step toward clarifying your vision for change.

Count your blessings at the end of every day – don't focus on the problems you've faced that day; rather, think of all the good things that happened and the happiness they gave you.
Don't allow your mind to remain idle – it may be clichéd, but it's also true that an idle mind is the devil's workshop. So stay busy and keep doing something or the other to prevent negative thoughts from creeping in.
Stop negative thoughts before they form completely – if you find yourself becoming depressed because your mind is taking a negative bent, stop those thoughts in their tracks and start consciously thinking of positive things.
Spend time with people who love you and make you feel good about yourself– quality relationships make life worth living.
Anytime you feel that the weight of your burden is hard to bear, talk to a friend or someone with a sympathetic ear – even if they cannot do anything to help you out, just the fact that you have someone on your side is uplifting enough.
And finally, look around you before you start to feel sorry for yourself – there are people in situations that are a hundred times worse than yours, yet they manage to get through each day.

New, improved year
There's one key factor that will make this New Year the best one ever. That important factor is your attitude.
The way you most consistently decide to see life will play a major role in the way your life actually unfolds. Right now, as the year begins, make the choice to make your life, and your whole world, the best it can be.
Create a new, improved year by going through it with a new, improved outlook on life. Make this a great year by choosing an attitude that reflects your own unique greatness.
In the year ahead you'll encounter many obstacles, and yet there's one powerful obstacle you don't ever have to deal with again. That obstacle, the one you can get rid of for good, is your own negative attitude.
Just because things can often get difficult, doesn't mean you have to be difficult. No matter what the situation, a positive, empowering attitude is always your best choice.
Stride confidently forward with the highest and best expectations you've ever had. Your life this year is what you make it, so embrace an attitude that will make it positive, fulfilling and great.
