About This Poem   “Love” was originally published in William Carlos Williams’s first book of poems, Poems (1909).   William Carlos Williams was born on September 17, 1883, in Rutherford, New Jersey. He received the Pulitzer Prize for Pictures from Brueghel and Other Poems. Williams died on March 4, 1963, in New Jersey.
