This awesome new bridge in London closes and opens like a fan. The footbridge located in Paddington, London was designed by Knight Architects with he help of structural engineers AKT II. Using 5 individual steel beams, the bridge opens and closes in sequences using hydraulic jacks and is assisted by counterweights.
 
The bridge is a beautiful example of structural engineers and architects coming together to create a structure that is functional and looks awesome.
