[Fropki] 11 Things Only A WhatsApp Group Admin Would Relate To

Struggles Pregnant Women Know Too Well

Being a WhatsApp admin is simply not an easy task!

1. You're the life of the group.

Since you've created the group, you're the most important person in it.

2. You take the sole responsibility of resolving disputes within the group.

When people fight on the group, you're the first one to tell them to chill.

3. You're sick of the mean Whatsapp admin jokes.

You just don't react to the mean WhatsApp admin jokes anymore.

4. You take the pain of adding new members to the group.

You gather contact numbers and add them to the list. That's some great work there.

5. You add people without their will to join the group, but can do nothing about it.

You know that people don't like being added to the group, but you have to do it because it's an easy way to contact them.

6. You never let people escape the group. If they try to, you add them back.

There is no escape from the group. EVER.

7. You break peoples' hearts by removing them from the group.

If someone annoys you, you use your 'admin' power and remove them from the group.

8. You feel bad when someone leaves the group.

At first, you're shocked. And then you feel sad for leaving the group.

9. You choose your admins wisely.

When it comes to nominating admins, you choose them wisely.

10. Sometimes you seriously feel like muting your own group.

You wake up to 450 messages in the group! People talk so much. Like SO MUCH!

11. You don't like it when people change the group name or the group pic.

You hate it when people mess with your group.

[Fropki] 9 Old-School Dating Habits We Need To Bring Back In Our Lives

Posted: 04 Apr 2015 09:53 AM PDT

Ariana Grande - American Airlines Arena in Miami

We live in the digital age where most romantic gestures have been replaced by Snapchats, Whatsapp texts or updating your relationship status on Facebook. Consequently, dating for our generation is more complicated than ever. Old-school romance, on the other hand, is unique. Take a look at 9 things that seem old school but will bring a spark to your digitally charged love life.

1. Opening the door for your special someone.

No matter how done-to-death this may sound, it is the simplest way of showing concern for your loved one. They'll probably never get over this kind gesture.

2. Writing poems or notes.

Nothing can match up to expressing your love openly, but tiny poems can make a huge difference. Don't worry if they don't rhyme or aren't perfect. They are written to convey what you are really feeling at a particular moment. The best thing about them is that you can store them forever and keep going back to them.

3. Actually asking them out.

For once, ask out a girl or a guy in the ideal way. Covering up by saying, 'let's hang out' or 'let's chill together' is just too mainstream.

4. Getting them flowers.

We're not talking about huge bouquets or red roses. Even a single flower from your garden would create the impact. No other gift can match up to flowers.

5. Close dancing. And no, not in a club.

Something like being alone on a deserted island or on a secluded terrace, just holding one another and dancing will be so romantic!

6. Cooking for your date.

It might sound cliché but food can really do wonders to your relationship. Setting up the table, cooking a favourite dish and candlelight are winners. And they work both ways.

7. Being together without technology.

Avoid check-ins and spending the entire evening clicking the perfect selfie. Just be with each other because that's all you need to make this work.

8. Maintaining physical compatibility.

To keep your dating period smooth, it is very important to respect each others sexual needs. It's a good idea not to presume you're going to have sex every time you are together. The best way is to stay in the moment and let it drive you.

9. Picking and dropping them.

It might take too much effort to go all the way to pick someone and then drop them back, but you will also get to enjoy a long drive. And these things make the best memories.

[Fropki] Selfie Shoes Will Revolutionize Selfie Game (Video)

Posted: 03 Apr 2015 11:53 PM PDT

Selfie Shoes Will Revolutionize Selfie Game

Miz Mooz, a popular shoe brand in New York, has released a brilliant invention that will revolutionize the way women take selfies. Their unique Selfie Shoes will solve all the problems that women run into when they have to use hands or selfie sticks to take their selfies.

These shoes have a smartphone dock in the lengthened toes that will allow women to use their legs as extended selfie sticks. In their video, a model wearing the shoes demonstrates her ability to take a hands-free selfie (or #shoefie) – a long-sought goal that many serial selfie-takers have only dreamed of.

The announcement of these shoes has absolutely nothing at all to do with the fact that today just so happens to be April Fools' day.

[Fropki] She Chose to Embrace her Birthmark

Posted: 03 Apr 2015 09:31 PM PDT

She Chose to Embrace her Birthmark

22-year-old professional dancer Cassandra Naud was born with a large birthmark under her left eye, and although she begged for an operation to remove it in her youth, she now refuses to get one – she even says that she appreciates her unique appearance and that it helps her stand out in her field.

The Alberta, Canada-based dancer was teased throughout her youth for the birthmark, which is also covered in hair (hypertrichotic), but her parents were afraid to operate on it for fear that it would leave large scars on her face. Read on for more of her story!

Emily Ratajkowski Keeps Instagram Fans with Sexy Pics

Way back before some of us were born, in the early 1970s, there was an actress named Melanie Griffith. She lived with a pet lion named Neil. Nope, I'm not typing out a fairy tale for you. Her mother, actress Tippie Hedron, and stepfather, director Noel Marshall, were making a film about the big cats when they decided to take him in and get to know him better. These photos first appeared in Life magazine, and captured what it was like for Neil to live with Hollywood royalty. Next time someone asks you what love is, show them these.

Neil and Griffith, just hangin'.

Her mom also joins in the fun.

Neil sleeps just like we do.

Must be a comfy little bed.

Best backrest ever!

It doesn't get comfier than this.

Play time!

When Hedron got hungry, Neil would walk with her to the fridge.

He would also help her choose what to eat.

And enjoy his siesta time.

Neil didn't shy away from visiting dad's office.

Needless to say, he always made some valid points.

ROAR!

[Fropki] 13 Places On Earth People Risk Their Lives To Visit

Photos of Miss India 2015 Swimsuit Stunners

Our world is magnificent with beautiful natural wonders that attract several visitors right through the year. However, there are some wonders that can scare the living daylights out of you, or have you toying with the urge to flirt with death and disaster. While the common man might just say no to visiting these places, destiny defying adventure seekers know them only too well.

1. Trolltunga, Norway

Literally translated as Troll's Tongue, Trolltunga is one of the most spectacular scenic cliffs in Norway. It is 1100 meters above sea level, hovering 700 metres above Lake Ringedalsvatnet. The view is breathtaking. The hike goes through high mountains, and takes 8-10 hours in total (to Trolltunga and back), and the ascent is about 900 meters. The hike is usually possible to do from mid June, depending on when the snow melts in the mountains. Do carry an extra pair of pants if you plan on peeking over the edge.

2. Siju Caves, Meghalaya

The Siju Cave in Meghalaya is the first limestone natural cave in India. It is also home to a flimsy rope bridge that connects the summits of two hills. Its wobbliness will make you freak out. Extra pants are always a good idea!

3. Huayna Picchu

The ancient city of Machu Picchu is best viewed atop the summit of this mountain. However, getting there is the hard part. Inhospitable terrain, narrow and steep stairs, and high altitudes can be pretty unnerving.

4. Hussaini Hanging Bridge, Northern Pakistan

Located in the Gilgit-Baltistan region of northern Pakistan, this bridge served as a connection across the Borit Lake in Upper Hunza. This rope bridge is both long and poorly maintained. Many planks are missing, and strong winds shake the bridge as you cross it. A previous, older, broken bridge hangs in tatters next to the "new" one, not something that would ease your nerves.

Despite its dangerous looks, the Hussaini is a relatively safe bridge and has become something of a tourist draw, with hikers testing their nerves as they carefully work their way across.

5. Mont Blanc Box, France

We're not talking about the luxury brand, but the glass box that stands 12,604 feet over the rocks to give you a 360 degree view from Europe's tallest peak. Engineers have assured visitors about its structural durability and the technology that prevents this box from toppling off the edge. But is that enough?

chamonix.net

6. Mount Huashan, China

Visitors flock to this mountain in China which is famous for its almost vertical stair cases, steep edges, and the creaky wooden planks that are bolted onto the sides of the mountain.

7. Moher Cliffs, Ireland

This biking trail in Ireland would give an extreme adventure sports fanatic an orgasm. The winding track is 4 feet in width at its widest portion and was featured as the "cliffs of insanity" in the 1987 movie 'The Princess Bride'.

8. The Trift Suspension Bridge, Switzerland

The Trift Bridge is one of the most spectacular pedestrian suspension bridges of the Swiss Alps. It is 100 meters high and 170 meters long, and is poised above the region of the Trift Glacier. Even reaching the bridge through the ravine by cable car is an adventure.

9. Phugtal Monastery, Ladakh, India

Located in the Zanskar region of Ladakh, the monastery is a unique construction of mud and timber. It is built at the entrance of a cave on the cliff-face of a lateral gorge of a major tributary of the Lungnak (Lingti-Tsarap) River. From a distance, the monastery looks like a giant honeycomb.

This is the only monastery that can be reached by foot. The altitude and limited options for food make it a little difficult for visitors to adapt to.

10. El Caminito Del Rey, Spain

Known as the "Little Pathway of the King," this was built in 1905 and has had little to no repairs done until recently. Therefore, bold climbers enjoy braving the sections that are dangerous and completely disintegrated.

11. Devils Pool, Zambia

The Devil's Pool forms the lip of the Victoria Falls, Africa's highest waterfall, which borders Zambia and Zimbabwe. A lot of visitors have lost their lives trying to get the perfect view of the 355 foot cascade but that hasn't stopped the local tourism industry from stopping tourists from visiting it.

12. Stolen Chimney, Fisher Tower, USA

The Stolen Chimney is a route located on the Ancient Arts tower, one of the Fisher Towers in Moab National Park, Utah. This is the most common route to ascend the Corkscrew Summit of the tower, which is the western most summit of the Ancient Arts tower but is not the tallest. The summit is noteworthy for its extremely unusual shape which makes climbing this technically different from most other climbs.

13. Kjeragbolten, Norway

Kjeragbolten is a rock wedged between two boulders in the Kjerag mountain and has long been a famed photo op spot. It was featured in the 2006 Visa viral video 'Where the hell is Matt?', where traveler Matt Harding danced atop the precarious boulder. Due to its enormous popularity, long lines usually form with people who want to have a photo from the site. Expected waiting time can be anywhere from a few minutes to over an hour. Let's just hope gravity doesn't decide to have its way anytime soon.

Negotiations

Rae Armantrout

About This Poem

“Like all my poems, ‘Negotiations’ has several sources. It deals with aging lovers and the often silent deals they make. Thinking about bargains made me think of The Little Mermaid and that made me remember something I had just read about the incredibly complex process by which tadpoles (actual little mermaids) are somehow able to reabsorb their tails and fashion their future frog legs.”
Rae Armantrout

Rae Armantrout is the author of Itself (Wesleyan University Press, 2015). She has recently retired from the University of California, San Diego, and is freelance teaching while still living mainly in San Diego.

[Fropki] Stray Dogs Came to Funeral Of Woman Who Fed Them

Posted: 02 Apr 2015 10:04 PM PDT

Stray Dogs Came to Funeral Of Woman Who Fed Them

After a long life spent being kind and compassionate to every animal she met, Margarita Suarez, an animal lover in Merida, Mexico, received an unexpected honor at her funeral – a pack of stray dogs and even a bird that showed up to pay their respects. Suarez was known (by both humans and animals alike) for feeding the throng of stray animals that gathered at her door every morning, and for taking a bag of food with her wherever she went so she could feed any animals she met.

[Fropki] 21 Scenic Train Rides Across India You Need To Go On Right Now

Posted: 02 Apr 2015 08:44 PM PDT

(Please let the pics open. Might take some time on a slower connection.
If you can't see the pictures, right click the small Red-Cross and choose Show Picture to view it.)

Photos of Miss India 2015 Swimsuit Stunners

Indian Railways has 63,028 km of tracks running through the country, and operates 14,300 trains on a daily basis. Considering this is the year of the long weekend, you've got ample options to travel to. Needless to say, you know what to do!

(Get on a train, for those of you who are thick.)

1. The Western Ghat Saunter (Karjat - Lonavala)

The Western Ghats are rich in biodiversity, and during the monsoons this journey gets even more magical. The greenery looks refreshed with numerous streams and cascading waterfalls. The train passes through the village settlements of Thakurwadi before hiking up Monkey Hill, then crossing Khandala and reaching Lonavala.

2. Malnad Magic (Hassan - Mangalore)

The best stretch is from Sakleshpur to Subramanya where the trains chugs past rice paddy fields and Areca nut palm trees. It passes through 57 tunnels through the journey offering views of the misty mountains and sparkling waterfalls.

3. Arakku Valley Railway (Vizag - Arakku)

The route passes through the most beautiful landscapes including coffee plantations. This line would previously transport iron ore from Chattisgarh to Vishakapatnam.

4. Flavours of Assam (Guwahati - Lumding - Silchar)

The train inches into the lush greenery of the adjoining valleys of Haflong, before joining the banks of River Jatinga and meandering along with it. A few hours later you will witness the wonderful tea plantations of the Barak Valley before heading towards Agartala.

5. Nilgiri Mountain Railway (Mettupalayam - Udhagamandalam)

Running for over 110 years, this is a train journey you should definitely have on your bucket list. Going through rocky terrain and meandering its way through tea plantations, the steam locomotive covers 46 km to Ooty in four and a half hours.

6. The Goan Experience (Vasco Da Gama - Londa)

A train ride from Vasco da Gama takes you from the serene beaches to the precarious curves of the Western Ghat Mountains offering a breathtaking sight of the Dudhsagar Waterfalls, one of India's highest and most exquisite falls.

7. The Konkan Railway (Ratnagiri - Mangalore)

The magnificent Sahyadris join in to make this one of the most sought after journeys for any railway enthusiast in India. The Konkan Railway is also an example of the expertise of the engineers of this country, who constructed this marvel battling against a hostile loose terrain with frequent landslide tendencies.

8. The Kangra Valley Odyssey (Pathankot - Jogindernagar)

Starting from Pathankot in Punjab, the train covers 164 kms to Jogindernagar in Himachal Pradesh, meandering through numerous passes and rivers of the Kangra valley. It is a laid back option for traveling across the Kangra valley. Yet the views it offers compensate for the speed.

9. The Snow Sojourn (Qazigund - Baramulla)

It is a refreshing ride through the Kashmir Valley, weaving through the snow capped peaks at a distance and the Chinar trees all around. The best time of taking this journey is during the winters when the surroundings are covered with snow.

10. The Kashmir Railway (Jammu - Udhampur)

The extremes of winter and summer along with the unfavorable terrain make this route one of the most thrilling of all Indian train rides. This route has 20 major tunnels and 158 bridges which offer astounding views of the rivers and valleys around the beautiful Shivalik Mountain Ranges.

11. The Chilka Route (Bhubaneshwar - Brahmapur)

The train route runs between the Eastern Ghats and the Chilka Lake providing all the stunning views of Orissa. The Chilka lagoon is a sight for migratory birds and is a perfect place for birdwatchers.

12. The Desert Queen (Jodhpur - Jaisalmer)

If you thought a desert route from Jodhpur to Jaisalmer would be dull, you couldn't be more wrong. The sight of painted mud huts and numerous camel grazing is just so typically Rajasthani and magical. Witnessing a sunrise or sunset from the train is pure delight to the senses.

13. The Indian Maharaja Deccan Odyssey (Mumbai - Aurangabad - Agra -  Delhi)

This train runs from Pune to Delhi and takes ten days in total. Not recommended for the business traveller but for the luxury traveller, as it comes complete with a library, ayurvedic massage centre, steam rooms and a gymnasium. It stops at stations which are close to tourist destinations and sights like the Ajanta and Ellora Caves and the Taj Mahal.

14. The Sea Bridge (Mandapam - Pamban - Rameswaram)

Running on the second-longest bridge in the country, this route is considered one of the most thrilling and dangerous as it is a thin bridge. It connects the Tamil Nadu mainland to the island of Rameswaram.

15. The Dooars Voyage (Siliguri - Newmal - Hasimara - Alipurduar)

The train route which recently converted to broad gauge has minimum traffic but passes through notable wildlife sanctuaries that are rich in flora and fauna. It crosses Mahananda Wildlife Sanctuary, Chapramari Forest, Jaldapara Wildlife Sanctuary and Buxa Tiger Reserve along with numerous stream crossings.

16. The Matheran Hill Railway (Neral - Matheran)

The only heritage railway in Maharashtra, Matheran still is a favourite among locals and visitors. This narrow gauge rail line was built by Akbar Peerbhoy between 1901 and 1907. It runs through large patches of forest and covers a total distance of 20 km.

17. The Island Express (Kanyakumari - Trivandrum)

short train journey, but one packed with visual delights, this journey takes you through tightly packed coconut trees, and past coastal architecture. This train ride is through South India's most picturesque locations.

18. The Mandovi Express (Mumbai - Goa)

The train that connects you to both these lovely places is one that gives an equally stunning view of what is sandwiched in between the Sahyadari hills and the Arabian Sea. Rumbling through 92 tunnels and on 2000 bridges, this route gives you Instagram moments every five seconds.

19. The Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (Siliguri - Darjeeling)

Running from Jalpaiguri to Darjeeling, the journey takes you as close as possible to the tea pickers with baskets strapped on their heads and the smell of tea leaves that wafts in the air. An interesting thing to note about this train is that it runs on the metre gauge and is also a UNESCO world heritage site since 1999.

20. The Himalayan Queen (Kalka - Shimla)

The heritage railway between Kalka and Shimla features in the Guinness Book of World Records for offering the steepest rise in altitude in the space of 96 km. It passes through 102 tunnels and 864 bridges, flanked by the picturesque Shivalik Mountains on both sides. The fresh air, and the whizzing views of oak, pine and maple trees are just some things that make this journey memorable.

21. Shindavane and Ambale (Pune-Satara)

The railway cuts deep through the barren and lofty Sahyadri mountains and passes through loose rocks on all sides. This lies in the Pune-Satara section of the Central Railways.

[Fropki] 8 Things That Say You're An Obsessive Compulsive Car Owner

Posted: 02 Apr 2015 10:00 AM PDT

(Please let the pics open. Might take some time on a slower connection.
If you can't see the pictures, right click the small Red-Cross and choose Show Picture to view it.)

Emily Ratajkowski Keeps Instagram Fans with Sexy Pics

We all love cars, don't we. But there are some who love their cars more than others. They shudder at the thought of accelerating too hard and say sorry to the car every time they mistime a gear shift. Yes, they are crazy. Find out if you're one of them!

1. Did I lock the car?

Yes you did. But nothing says peace of mind like waking up in the middle of the night to lock, unlock and relock the car.

2. Weekend TLC

Your weekly weekend ritual begins with washing, cleaning and polishing the car. But you still haven't found the time to trim that beard for the past three weeks.

3. Service schedule is sacrosanct

You know the car's service schedule like the back of your hand and insurance renewal dates are on your Google Calendar. Although you still have a hard time remembering the girlfriend's birthday.

4. Heartache

You feel sick in the gut every time the car goes through a pothole and every time you have to brake hard. You also apologise to the car if you mistime a gear shift.

5. So clean you can eat off it

Your car's dashboard is so clean you can probably eat off it. But the thought of eating in your car gives you the jitters. You never know where the crumbs will end up.

6. Other people's cars

You freak out with other people's failed efforts to trick out their cars. The thought of Deadmau5's Purrari still makes you squeamish.

7. Valets

You have an inherent distrust of hotel valets. Because you know what the guy who let a valet drive his Lambo got. A Rs 3 crore repair bill.

8. Lending your car

You had a mini heart attack the last time your cousin asked if he could borrow your car. You then proceeded to suggest he take the bus, because you know why he can't use his car.

This Your Home Now

Mark Doty

About This Poem

“It’s unsettling, to lose the safety of the familiar, even when what’s disrupted is an ordinary routine. When I began this poem, I was grieving for the loss of my old barbershop in Manhattan, and wondering at the strangeness of my new one. I didn’t have any idea the poem would break into the underworld, opening a deeper subject: the continuing force of the old griefs routine helps to mediate, and my strange, sheer wonder at my own survival. Where’s home now? In the contingent present, in which anything can disappear, and where we’re sometimes granted some form of grace.”
Mark Doty

Mark Doty is the author of Deep Lane (W. W. Norton, 2015). He is a Chancellor of the Academy of American Poets, teaches at Rutgers University, and lives in New York City.

Quote Lady's Quote of the Day Volume 18, Number 92
ISSN 1534-3073

Quote for Thursday April 2, 2015

Each person who ever was or is or will be
has a song.
It isn't a song that anybody else wrote.
It has its own melody, it has its own words.
Very few people get to sing their song.
Most of us fear that we cannot do it justice
with our voices, or that our words are
too foolish or too honest, or too odd.
So people live their song instead.
~ Neil Gaiman (Anansi Boys)
