If you think your office building has the coolest architecture ever, think again. Structural engineering has daringly ventured into a domain where innovation marries imagination, and the results are breathtaking. Corporate giants have invested big bucks on creating office structures that are a treat for the eyes.

Here's a look at 12 of the most avant-garde architectural workplaces corporate giants own across the globe. 

1. BMW Welt, Munich

The architecture of BMW's exhibition center has been described as "futuristic" and we totally agree! Nestled right next to the BMW headquarters, BMW Welt is nothing short of art with its double cone structure, wrapped comfortably in sheets of steel and glass. 

2. CMA CGM, Marseille

Designed to imitate the sail of a ship, the Tour CMA CGM building is a classic blend of ingenuity with style. In fact, the tower is the perfect symbol for a company that prides itself as one of the world's leading shipping groups. 

3. Aldar Headquarters, Al Raha Beach

Definitely one of a kind, the Aldar Headquarters building is the world's first orb-structured workplace. We can't help but wonder what this eye-catching marvel looks like from the inside!

4. Infosys, India

Closer home, Mysore's Infosys campus is a product of architectural genius par excellence. The office building looks like an overblown golf ball and boasts of being the largest training center in the world. 

5. ING House, Amsterdam

Owing to the form of the building, the ING House is more popularly known as the "Dustbuster" or the "shoe". Now here's a structure that defies all that is ordinary and doesn't inspire a second look.

6. Bank of China Headquarters, Hong Kong

Looks like a skyscraper straight out of a Marvel movie, dunnit? This tower with a swanky exterior houses the Bank of China HQ and is known to have set the record for being the tallest high-rise building that stretches beyond 1000 feet, outside of the USA.

7. EnCana Corporation, Canada

Standing proud in all its towering glory is the Bow – the office building from where EnCana carries out its business. Its curved, crescent-like contour is definitely worth admiring. Time to take a bow!

8. Hearst Corporation, Manhattan

Structural engineering at its best, the Hearst Tower is a work of beauty. But with beauty comes brains – which together make the tower the first office building ever to have received the prestigious LEED Gold Certification for Energy. 

9. Adidas LACES, Bavaria

This shoelace-inspired building is Adidas's Research and Development center in Germany. Big enough to fit eight (yes, eight!) football fields, the LACES building is as high performing as the Adidas shoes.

10. Selgas Cano, Madrid

A dream workspace for all those who love the woods, Selgas Cano office building is half-under and half-above the ground. Talk about working in a relaxed environment, away from the city hullabaloo. Jealous much?

11. Samsung Securities, Hong Kong

Complimenting Samsung to the T, the Jung-Ro Tower is as massive as the brand itself. It's innovative, radical and state-of-the-art. Imagining the view from the top, are you? Trust us, we are too!

12. Lloyd's, London

Perhaps the world's only "Inside-Out Building", this Lloyd's office is best known for its radical architecture wherein the elevators, ducts, and staircases are all situated on the outside. Living up to its aim of creating an expansive interior workspace, this one truly deserves a standing ovation.
