A Girl Who Thinks It's Ok To Flash Her Bra At Her Dad For Father's DayThis ad for a lingerie brand from Sri Lanka has been going viral. Clearly the copy-writer who wrote this was drinking something very strong. Or had daddy issues. Oreo's "Milk's Favorite Cookie" poster in 2012 shows breastfeeding baby with a cookie. 2. Blow your mind away!Burger King ran some suggestive ads in Singapore in 2010 for a special "super seven incher" promotion promising to " blow your mind away." 3. 'Lonely' calorie's insensitive suicidePepsico was heavily criticised in 2008 for its Pepsi Max ad showing a "lonely" calorie committing suicide in a violent way. 4. Half-dressed women with BerloFord Motors' series of Indian poster advertisements has shocked the country. One of the posters shows Berlusconi, who is charged in Italy with paying for sex with a minor, sitting in the front seat of a Ford Figo hatchback flashing a victory sign, with a trio of half-dressed women bound and gagged in the trunk. 5. Paris Hilton & Kardashians in FigoAnother featured a caricature of Paris Hilton in the driver's seat, with three women resembling fellow celebrities the Kardashian sisters bound in the trunk with the tagline, "Leave your worries behind with Figo's extra large boot." Check out how our all-time favourite bands are connected to some of the most unthinkable of things. 1. Buddy Holly's band could have been bigger than The Beatles.Die hard fans would know this, but there's no harm in imparting some knowledge to others, is there? The Beatles, who were known as the Quarrymen, Johnny and the Moondogs, and The Silver Beetles before actually becoming THE BEATLES, were massive fans of Buddy Holly and his music. They were particularly impressed by the fact that Holly could actually sing, and play equally well at the same time. Holly's band was called 'The Crickets', not only a buggy little creature but also a sport hugely popular in England. John Lennon liked the idea of a double meaning in the name of the band. The only difference being in the spelling of the name. Instead of being Beetles, they made it B-e-a-tles, thus including the 'beat' of the music in their band name and making it a double meaning word. Holly was obviously unaware of the double meaning bit because cricket wasn't played in America. But all this wouldn't have mattered because Buddy Holly and 'The Crickets' in only the two years that they performed, were becoming huge with the masses. So much so that according to a number of sources, The Crickets were, at one point, selling around 20,000 album copies a day! The day music died.On 3rd February 1959, in a tragic incident that came to be known as 'The day music died', Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and J.P. "The Big Bopper" Richardson died in a plane crash. Buddy was just a 22-year-old at that time. Imagine, had the band not met with the tragedy, the biggest band in the world would have been 'The Crickets'. Heavily influenced by The Crickets, The Beatles was officially formed in 1960. A certain Bobby Vee, then aged 15, and a hastily-assembled band of schoolboys calling themselves 'The Shadows' volunteered for and were given the unenviable job of filling in for Holly after the air crash. Their performance there was a success, setting in motion a chain of events that led to Vee's career as a popular singer. On January 31, 1959, a few nights before that fatal trip, a 17-year-old Bobby Zimmerman, who later came to be known as a certain Bob Dylan, saw Holly perform as part of the "Winter Dance Party" tour. Dylan was a huge fan of Holly and his music.
