About This Poem   "Wild Geese" was published in Dream Work (Grove Press, 1986).   Mary Oliver was born on September 10, 1935, in Maple Heights, Ohio. She was the author of several books including Blue Horses (Penguin Press, 2014) and American Primitive (Bay Back Books, 1983), for which she won the Pulitzer Prize. She died on January 17, 2019, in Hobesound, Florida.
