"Take time to be grateful."Taking the time every day to recognize what you're grateful for helps keep things in perspective. Gratitude carries you through the tough times, and gives you the strength to surpass the stress of challenges.Reflect on your family, your friends or the place where you live, and the satisfaction they bring you. Think about your good health and your mental or physical talents. Consider the pleasure you received from a phone call with a friend or a laugh you shared with your children.Look back on small and large moments – the affection of a pet, your success in the garden or a deep and fulfilling partnership. These are all things that nourish gratitude. And, gratitude makes life worth living!©Jane Powell
TAKE IT EASY ON YOURSELF!
Everyone's life is their own making and, as such, they have developed their own belief system, have their own expectations, and carry around their own baggage. With all of this, there is no way that any one person can accurately compare themselves to another person and expect to obtain a reasonable result.
Stop comparing yourself to others as everyone is different. Stop diminishing yourself with negative judgments by always finding that you are less than anyone else in any particular way. We're not more or less --- we're all just different.
When you make a mistake or dont progress the way youd like, its easy to give up or to tell yourself that you cant do it. During times of personal change and growth, its important to take it easy on yourself and treat yourself with care and respect. Its important to give yourself an extra little push sometimes, but not through personal mental beatings.
Remind yourself of what your strengths are. Review your values and motivations for creating the goal in the first place. Look back at all your successes and tell yourself that it may take some time, but you can do it. However, the only way youll achieve any goal is to do it!
Lighten up! If you take yourself too seriously as you carry out your goals, youll have no fun pursuing them and everyone around you will be overly cautious of you and your actions. Manage your expectations and keep them realistic! Instead of trying to conquer the world in one shot, break it up and just conquer your own little piece of it first. Then, once you have control, expand your reach a bit. By keeping your goals small and incremental, mixed with a light-hearted perspective, you will be able to get through the challenges to reach your ultimate Vision.
Edward B. ToupinAchievement is in you
Achievement is in you. Let it flow out into your world.Your dream is beautiful. Let it compel you to bring it to life. You are highly skilled at making things happen. So choose to take the best things you can imagine, and to make them real. This day will come and go, whether you do anything with it or not. So decide right now to do every good thing you can imagine with it while it is here.Don't be ashamed that your dream is too big or too small or too quirky or too difficult to explain. Just get busy with that authentic dream, and find great delight and fulfillment in making it happen. There is beautiful, valuable, unique achievement in you, longing to be expressed. Make this the moment you give in to that longing, and make your whole world a more wonderful place.Ralph Marston-
