BANGALORE: It's well known Indian cricket fans share a love-hate relationship with Ravindra Jadeja. What was unexpected, though, was Chennai Super Kings and India skipper MS Dhoni setting the Twitter world buzzing on Tuesday by cracking good-humoured jokes on "Sri Sri Pandit Sir Lord Ravindra Jadeja", who is fast turning out to be the Internet's latest sensation!

 

 "Sir Jadeja doesn't run to take the catch but the ball finds him and lands on his hand," read one of Dhoni's messages on CSK's $2 million man Ravindra Jadeja.

 

 Another CSK man, R Ashwin, retweeted the jokes while also sharing some of the wittiest from his own followers. Suresh Raina then began making references to the left-arm spinner as "Sir Ravindra Jadeja," which began trending worldwide in the afternoon.

 

 Jadeja, who has three first-class triple centuries to his name, became the face of humorous yet harmless memes after making his debut for the Test team last year.

 

 Online sarcasm reached boiling point when he was described by a cricket website as "falling 284 runs short of his fourth first-class triple century" when he was bowled for 16 against Australia in Chennai!

 

 The subject of ribbing and trolling on various social networking sites, Jadeja's face has been photoshopped to be part of a number of historic events involving legendary figures.

 

 While it's hard to pinpoint why the Saurashtra all-rounder has become the latest celebrity to be propelled to staggering heights online, Tamil superstar Rajinikanth and Hollywood action Chuck Norris.
