| | | Daniel Hoffman wrote numerous books of poetry including, The Whole Nine Yards: Longer Poems (Louisiana State University Press, 2009) and Makes You Stop and Think: Sonnets (George Braziller, 2005). Hoffman served as Consultant in Poetry to the Library of Congress from 1973 to 1974 (the appointment now called the Poet Laureate) and was a Chancellor of the Academy of American Poets.
