Just in Time for School: Our New Educator in Residence

Dr. Madeleine Fuchs Holzer has joined the Academy of American Poets as our first Educator in Residence. We launched the very first Poets-in-the-Schools program in the early 1960s, and in 1996 created the nation’s first Online Poetry Classroom for teachers. With Mady onboard, we’re thrilled to continue our long-standing commitment to supporting K-12 teachers and encouraging young people to engage with the art of poetry.
