But no, they're actually quite real. After several weeks of snow and ice storms, nature photographer Marko Korosec decided to brave a climb up Mount Javornik, a mountain and popular ski destination in eastern Slovenia. Once there, he found that layers of hard ice known as rime ice had built up on the trees and lookout towers during the storms, and that the wind had created ice spikes up to three feet long bristling out from the surfaces, creating an otherworldly landscape. We planted trees. We cleared the pond. Gathered different, undisturbed faith. Gradually the steps further and further withdrawing over the hills, beyond the fencerow. I was too weak. I was often driven, but saw no way. I would never go back. The difference, between us, not because I remained the same, unable to unalter, but taken from the midst, rarely clouded, and the broken. The world never falls short of interesting phenomena, so we decided to bring you some really intriguing ones. You know, the sort that one can only experience once a year? Time to make another travel diary. 1. Manhattanhenge, New York City 
The sun is aligned between the east and west streets of the main grid of Manhattan, New York City, only once a year. 2. The migration of Olive Ridley Turtles, Odisha 
This is one of the most breathtaking mass migrations in the world, and takes place on the Gahirmatha beach in Odisha every year. Thousands of turtles migrate for mating and nesting. 3. Red crab migration, Australia 
This happens on the Christmas Island, an Australian island in the Indian ocean. Millions of crabs make their way from the forest to the ocean and lay eggs there. 4. Great wild beast migration, Kenya 
This is one of the seven new wonders of the world, and is the largest animal migration movement in the world. About two million animals migrate from Serengeti National Park in Tanzania to the greener pastures of Masai Mara in Kenya. 5. Winter Solstice at Stonehenge, England 
Winter solstice is the best time to be at Stonehenge. A truly magical experience, the pillars are aligned in a manner pointing to the winter solstice sunrise. 6. Summer solstice at Giza Pyramids, Egypt 
During the summer solstice, the sun sets perfectly between the two Great Pyramids of Egypt. The sun's descent between the two pyramids appears to be a divine creation. 7. Spring equinox at Angkor Wat Temple, Cambodia

How she disliked the cold! She used to watch the swallows
Go down across the sky,
And turn from the window
With a little sharp sigh. And often when the brown leaves
Were brittle on the ground,
And the wind in the chimney
Made a melancholy sound, She had a look about her
That I wish I could forget—
The look of a scared thing
Sitting in a net! Oh, beautiful at nightfall
The soft spitting snow!
And beautiful the bare boughs
Rubbing to and fro! But the roaring of the fire,
And the warmth of fur,
And the boiling of the kettle
