There might have been times when you've purchased a product just because your favorite celebrity was endorsing it. From picking a cola brand to your brand of jeans, the cool quotient for a brand sometimes is just the face of it.

So watch how your favorite Bollywood stars forgot to even make a connection with their brand image and the brands they endorsed. Whether it's vests, anti-winkle creams or fairness lotions, when it comes to endorsements, Bollywood celebrities aren't very picky. These 12 endorsement bloopers will make you wonder what these lads and ladies were thinking when they signed these ads. 

1. Abhishek and Aishwarya, Prestige Cookware range

No! The surprise element for this ad wasn't Abhishek or Aishwarya, but the tagline,"Jo biwi se kare pyaar, woh Prestige se kaise kare inkaar!". Sad but true.

2. Saif Ali Khan, Pan Bahar

When Saif chose to dedicate his Bollywood success to Pan Bahar, all we did was laugh!

3. Salman Khan, Wheel Active Detergent 

Only Bhai could have had the audacity to endorse a detergent brand! A totally undismayed Salman felt proud after endorsing a detergent and later stated, "I am extremely proud to be associated with one of India's oldest and most respectable brands. Wheel has become a household name, and has a glorious history of many years." Well!

4. Madhuri Dixit, Odomos

Madhuri Dixit's comeback film did not live up to our expectations but we certainly would not like to see such comebacks! :(

5. Shahrukh Khan, Lux

SRK wasn't photo bombing the divas here. In 2005, after the ad went on-air, in an interview, SRK revealed, "Some people think it's a girlie ad, that it questions my sexuality. But I love the idea of getting into the tub, just as I had seen all my lovely leading ladies do."

6. Katrina Kaif, Johnson Tiles

Who thought a tile brand could sell its range using Katrina Kaif? Well, advertising is all about going 'over-board' and we could do nothing but wonder!

7. Katrina Kaif, Relaxo Flite Hawaai Chappals

Katrina was also roped in by a footwear brand to endorse their range of Hawaai Chappals. Like, really?! Nothing else but Hawaai chappals?!

8. Priyanka Chopra, Rajnigandha Silver Pearls

We have seen Bollywood actresses endorsing tea, biscuits, deo and maybe all that was left to see was this! And what's worse? There was a particular soundtrack made that featured Priyanka Chopra talking about the product!

9. Sunny Deol, Lux Cozy

When Sunny Deol went ahead and started endorsing Lux Cozi with a message "Apna luck pehen ke chalo", we realised what was really wrong with him and his career choices!

10. Anushka Sharma, Nivea

From fairer skin to fairer underarms! so what's left to target?

11. Shahrukh Khan, Fair And Handsome

Endorsement of a men's fairness cream landed King Khan in a lot of trouble and controversy. But as usual, he went to the media and said, "Apparently, according to research a lot of men do use fairness cream. I don't think it's wrong. I wouldn't do it if it was wrong. It's one of the highest selling creams. It's not harmful and in no way am I selling that fair is better than dusky or dusky is better than fair. I am not that kind of person." But it did disappoint his fans a lot!

12. Malaika Arora Khan, Zandu Balm

This was after Emami sent a legal notice to the Arbaaz Khan production for infringement of copyright and using "Zandu Balm" for one Dabangg's item songs. Later, both entities settled their differences when some parts of the song was used in Zandu Balm advertisements, and Malaika endorsed the brand. It was a tough settlement as Malaika was mocked for endorsing a brand that had no relevance with her personality!
