Have you ever flip through your TV channels you and come across a movie that's being aired for the millionth time? You're so used to it being aired frequently that you can now recite dialogues and scenes by heart. Here are 11 such films that are TV channel favourites!
1. Hum Aapke Hain Koun
Hum Aapke Hain Koun is one film that you can binge watch without getting bored. The family saga which was a blockbuster hit of the 90s brings families together even today. HAHK comes on Zee Cinema twice every week, mostly during the weekends.
2. Sooryavansham
There was a time when it felt like Set Max had only one movie to show and that was Amitabh Bachchan starrer Sooryavansham. Big B had a double role in the film where he played dual characters of father Thakur Bhanupratap Singh and son Heera. The movie was a Hindi remake of the Tamil version of a film with the same name.
3. Nayak
There was a joke about Anil Kapoor and Rani Mukherjee starrer Nayak Nayak doesn't come on Set Max, Set Max comes on Nayak! We won't be wrong when we say that this movie was telecast almost every day! Now that Sooryavansham has replaced Nayak, we miss watching angry young CM Shivaji Shinde marching with his PA on our TV sets.
4. Sarfarosh
Even after fifteen years of its release, Sarfarosh is still being played almost every week on UTV. The Aamir Khan and Naseeruddin Shah starrer is based on cross border terrorism.
5. Hum Saath Saath Hain
Another movie from the Barjatya production, after Hum Aaapke Hain Kaun, to join the list. Scheduled mostly as the matinee show, Hum Saath Saath Hain is always a fun watch.
6. Amar Akbar Anthony
Any channel that shows old Bollywood classics, repeats Amar Akbar Anthony on loop as if it's the only movie available.
7. Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge
It doesn't matter that DDLJ is out from Maratha Mandir. We can still watch it on a regular basis on Set Max. The adventures of Raj and Simran will never be forgotten as DDLJ keeps playing on different channels too.
8. Aamdani Atthani Kharcha Rupaiyya
How many of you remember Chandrachud Singh and Govinda starrer Aamdani Atthani Kharcha Rupaiyya? The comic caper was a multi-starrer which had Tabu, Juhi Chawla and Johnny Lever, and plays on Set Max regularly.
9. Chennai vs China
7aum Arivu starring Suriya and Shruti Hassan was dubbed in Hindi as Chennai vs China. The TRPs are at an all time high when the channels telecasts it during prime time.
