Selena Gomez in Golden Bra Under Hot Sheer Dress If you thought the minds that fought wars back in history were boring, think again. Here are some of the greatest and most uncanny of weapons used. Look out for bats, cats, birds, bombs, and of course, the CIA KLPD. 1. Dazzlers 
One can only expect the British to come up with cute names for combat weapons. This, however, is a non-lethal combat weapon that does exactly as the name suggests - it dazzles people. How wonderful! The weapon is used to temporarily blind combatants and overpower optics-based targeting systems such as laser guidance systems. Britain used it very effectively to blind the Argentine pilots out to attack their army back in the day. Even though a UN protocol explicitly banned the used of weapons that blind people back in '95, the dazzler escaped the protocol claiming its effects were only temporary. What your enemy does to you after he temporarily blinds you might have a permanent effect though. Modern land forces have been putting dazzlers to practice, helping suppress defenders in difficult positions, disabling snipers in long range. It can easily overpower night vision systems too. Unfortunately however, it cannot blind your parents from the utter disappointment that you have been to them all your life. I tried, really. 2. Pigeon Guided Missiles 
My my, here I was thinking pigeons were only almost good for delivering Bhagyashree's old-school Snapchat messages to Salman. Turns out they were quite adept at bombing the shit out of people too. Much before guided missiles and animal cruelty were a thing, the U.S military would have pigeon guided missiles. Quite funny though, the way it worked. A specialised nose cone would fit onto a missile. Each cone would have three compartments and each compartment would have a pigeon and a screen that showed the path of the missile. With the body of a fowl and a mind of Vishwanathan Anand, the pigeons would peck at the screen and align the missile in the right direction. It could recognise if the missile was off-centre. In such a situation, all three pigeons would peck at the centre of the screen keeping the target dead centre ahead. 3. Chicken Powered Nukes! 
Yes, this deserved an exclamation mark. Here's why. Back in 1957 during the Cold War, Great Britain hatched a brilliant plan to bury a number of nuclear warheads all across Germany. This was just an assurance for themselves, in case the Soviet army decided to double-cross and invade Europe from the east. They did have one problem though - it would get so cold during the winter in some parts of Germany that the nukes could not function. What's the point of having some really powerful nukes as backup if they don't function when needed, right? So some of Britain's best minds got together and came up with an idea that would make every internet troll in this world really proud - chickens! Their theory was that the chicken would produce enough body heat to keep the bombs in a working condition. They were also given a week's supply of food to keep them alive. Eventually the project was scraped, thus giving birth to one of the greatest love stories in the world - Britain and chicken! 4. Anti-tank dogs 
It just keeps getting better, doesn't it? And people were really cruel with animals back then. Wtf? So anti-tank dogs were used by the Soviets during World War II to fight the German tanks. Bombs would be harnessed on the backs of these canines who had been trained to look for food under the tanks. But when the dog eventually reached under the tanks, a detonator would go off triggering an explosion. Soviets claimed that more than 300 German tanks were damaged because of this tactic, but most believe this is just a lot of hogwash to make people believe what they did with the dogs was justified. Even though not in huge numbers, anti-tank dogs continued to be trained right until 1996. Okay, it's one thing to send blind fools with bombs with the promise of being pampered by virgins in heaven, it's another thing to send cute dogs wrapped in bombs under tanks with the promise of a juicy piece of bacon. Or wait, it's the same thing actually. 5. Anti-communication falcons 
It's very well known that Bhagyashree wasn't the only pigeon fiend around back in the day. Along with Sooraj Barjatiya, UK also used trained pigeons to send and receive messages. In fact, during the second World War an approximate of 250,000 pigeons were used to discreetly get messages out to the troops hiding behind the enemy lines. A smart way to go about things actually, especially when the use of radios were out of the question. But sending out pigeons wasn't a 'patented technology', was it? So the Germans also got on board and started doing the same. Think of it as Snapchat if you must, but for war, instead of nudes. So to counter these Snapchats, the British started training a small force of Peregrine Falcons to patrol the coast of Great Britain and intercept the German pigeons. While the intelligent falcons would end up killing the pigeons, the geniuses would capture them alive! They would then be jokingly referred to as Nazi prisoners of war! 7. Bat bombs 
If you look at this objectively, and hate bats and Bruce Wayne, then this was a brilliant idea. Okay so there would be a substantially big bomb, each containing 26 trays. Each tray would have around 40 hibernating bats, and each bat was harnessed with tiny fire bombs with a timer. Brilliant! So when the bombs were released, they would break into individual trays, waking the bats up from hibernation. When the parachute would finally open, they'd fly out looking for a place to hide. The device on the bats would then detonate, causing a fire to start. So imagine a hundred such bombs being dropped at a place, starting about a million fires in different places. Even though the Americans came up with it to be used against Japan during WWII, thankfully they didn't go through with it. They ended up doing something that was much worse. Hint- It starts with N, and rhymes with duke. 8. Defoliation Bacili Bomb 
In sharp contrast to what they are like now, the Japs were brutally sick back in the day. The worst was unit 731. To explain their work in brief, unit 731 was a covert chemical and biological warfare research unit of the Japanese army. They were in their prime during the Sino-Japanese war of WWII. They would even take human experimentation to another level. And one of the worst creations of the unit was the defoliation bacili bomb. Devastation was the word between 1932 and 1933. The bomb would spread across largely populated areas of China affecting humans with anthrax, plague-infected fleas, typhoid, dysentery and cholera, while also affecting reservoirs and agriculture. One of the scariest weapons in history.
9. Acoustic Kitty
One of the greatest examples of FML has to be credited to the CIA. So get this, to make sneaky audio recordings easier during the Cold War, the CIA got a pussy cat and spent 25- effing million dollars ($25 million in the 1960s mind you) on its training. In case you wonder why that much of tax-payers' hard earned money was needed, let me tell you it was used to train it to suppress hunger, and avoid being distracted, among other things of course. It's unfortunate that animals don't understand the value of money, otherwise it would've probably been able to cook a three-course Japanese meal for the CIA for $25 mill. That's not the legendary bit though. The feline actually died in the line of duty when the poor thing got run over by a taxi! Keeping all of that aside, her point blank views were on how women find it difficult to fight in a male-dominated society, her competition with Deepika Padukone to giving one kickass reply to haters of Bajirao Mastani who want to ban the film. Here are a few notable and applause-worthy excerpts from her interviews which prove one thing: She is much more than a pretty face or an over-achiever. She is one of the most sensible women we have in Indian Cinema who can speak her heart out without fearing anyone. Have a look: 1. "I know that I am straddling two careers.." 
"It was my choice and I have to do it. So even if I am shooting in Montreal for my television show, I have a responsibility to promote my film in India. Yes, it is physically tiring, but I don't have the luxury to complain, and I can't be hypocritical!" 2. "I can't help staying silent on this anymore.. It's too sad to see how films and actors become political pawns!"

In the parking lot sits a trailer,
where a guy who goes by Dino
sells fireworks with names
like Falcon Rising, Sexy Rider,
and Bada Bing! Bada Boom!
Nancy burns one out back,
and rumors about town
contend the ladies love Dino
for his sparklers and not for
his cherry bombs, which might
mean anything in Sulligent, Alabama,
where things are still simple
enough for a scratch-off ticket
and half-a-tank of non-ethanol gas
—a reminder on the way home
that there is more to life
than barely making it. Why,
right at your foot a 1952
wheat penny shimmers like
