Dear Poem-a-Day Subscriber,

Poems matter.

So does your support of poetry. Please donate today to help sustain our numerous free programs, like Poem-a-Day.

As Academy of American Poets Chancellor Linda Gregerson has said, poems are “the impression of having been here; that the present wasn't wholly lost on me.”

Poets record our world in uniquely memorable ways. They offer us lasting language that expresses what it means to be alive, in love, recovering from loss, fighting for justice, searching for beauty.

As we approach the end of the year, we need your help to continue sharing poems and supporting poets.

A Poem-a-Day reader recently shared with us that the poems we publish and send each morning are “rays of hope.”

Please help us share this hope with even more readers.

We have $4,377 left to raise this month to sustain our free programs, including Poem-Day. We need you to join in our efforts to promote our nation’s talented poets to a larger audience.

We can’t accomplish our goals without you!

                       With sincere appreciation,

P.S.  We are currently printing a new high-quality cotton canvas tote bag featuring lines by Emily Dickinson, which is our gift to you in thanks for a donation of $50 or more. Thank you again for considering a gift today.
