Paisley Rekdal: "The Cry"

About This Poem

“‘The Cry’ is a poem I wrote for my husband after a year of family crises we were both experiencing and trying to weather together. It came fairly quickly, as one image really did unfold into the next for me.”
Paisley Rekdal
