It’s only with your help that we can produce Poem-a-Day. We have $8,763 left to raise. Please donate today.   You can trust that your contribution will go a long way. In fact, when people meet the staff of the Academy of American Poets, they’re often surprised there are only nine of us. Over the past four generations, it has been our ability to innovate low-cost programs that serve the greatest number of poets, educators, and readers that has defined us and inspired others.   We were the first nonprofit poetry organization to bring poems and poets’ biographies online at Poets.org, to serve K–12 teachers with free poetry resources, to create a national celebration of poetry, and to publish a new poem each morning by one of today’s talented poets.   It is through contributions from supporters like you that we have been able to create these great programs. Poem-a-Day now reaches a growing audience of 450,000+ readers daily through email, social media, and syndication.   This April, in honor of National Poetry Month, please donate to help us bring poetry to even more readers.
