Welcome Back!

To help you plan for the year ahead, we’ve created a new Poetry in the Classroom Calendar, a brief video guide to teacher resources on Poets.org, a roundup of poems about school subjects, and more. Take a look.

Incredible Bridges: Featuring Richard Blanco

This new lesson plan features a video of Richard Blanco reading “Translation for Mamá,” a poem for his mother, who came to the United States from Cuba to create a new life for herself and her family. In both English and Spanish translation, Blanco honors the bridge between his mother’s new identity and the losses she faced.
