About This Poem

 

"Horses" appeared in Others for 1919: An Anthology of the New Verse (Nicholas L. Brown, 1920).

 

Witter Bynner was born in Brooklyn, New York, in 1881. He is the author of the poetry collections An Ode to Harvard and Other Poems (Small, Maynard & Company, 1907) and Indian Earth (Alfred A. Knopf, 1929), among many others. He died in 1968.
