Rita Ora's Open Dress Hides Bare Essentials  Indian parents say a lot of lame, weird, and sometimes, outright bizarre things to get their kids married. While some of these things are age old dialogues playing on emotions, our parents have really come of age with some new lines. Hyderabad-based online dating portal QuackQuack learnt from this, and recently launched a campaign titled #HappilySingle, that went viral on Facebook. The campaign highlighted the reasons people in Bengaluru were given to get married. "The answers came quick!" says Ravi Mittal, CEO. "We captured these thoughts on blackboards and asked these people to pose with their thoughts, which were then posted on the portal's Facebook page last month." "Our Facebook insights tell us that the campaign reached 2.5 million Indians which is proof enough of how the young feel about the message" said Mittal. The campaign was started to inform society that young Indians prefer meeting their partners by choice, which, according to Mittal, fits the motive for dating platforms launching and thriving in India.  __._,_.___

A phobia is typically defined as an abnormal, irrational and extreme fear or something or a situation, despite knowing the fact that it is actually not dangerous or harmful. But then a phobia is a phobia. No matter how much someone reassures you that the said thing isn't going to harm you, you still run miles away from it. For example, typical delicate darlings often have phobias of cockroaches, flies, mice or lizards. I mean, what can a teeny-weeny cockroach do to you? Alternatively, some people have a phobia of height, flying, or water. And then are just some that are downright bizarre. Here's what we mean: 1. Omphalophobia - Fear of navels As weird as it sounds, some people do have this phobia where they can't touch their own or others' belly buttons. In fact, the very idea of a belly button, or simply seeing one is also feared by people who suffer from this phobia. Sounds more creepy than weird, right? 
2. Trypophobia - Fear of holes People who suffer from this phobia have a fear of small holes, and usually associate these with danger. You know, say, a honeycomb, a sponge, etc. The moment a sufferer sees anything with small holes, they could get nausea or full-blown panic attacks! 
3. Papaphobia - Fear of the pope Yes, this is probably the weirdest of the lot, but some people actually fear the pope! The phobia may be related to the fear of saints or holy men. So if you suffer from it you definitely can't visit the Vatican City! 
4. Somniphobia - Fear of falling asleep Imagine having the fear of falling asleep! While some people just can't do without their regular eight hours a night, sufferers of this phobia may associate going to bed with dying, or losing time while asleep, or may fear lack of control. 
5. Nomophobia - Fear of being without mobile phone coverage Ah! I am sure we all have a little percentage of this hidden somewhere in us. But people with this phobia take it up a notch. They have a fear of losing mobile network, mobile battery, or even losing the sight of their mobile phone! 
6. Hylophobia - Fear of trees Okay, no offence, but some trees actually do look really scary at times. Anyway, people who have this phobia fear trees, wood, and forests. It may be caused by watching all those fairy tales or stories which talk about the evil guys staying in the forests. So go easy with the fables, alright? 
7. Turophobia - Fear of cheese It's rather shocking to know that some people fear cheese. The poor souls have no idea how great it tastes! While some people may fear some particular cheese types, others may fear cheese altogether. SOMEBODY DO SOMETHING! 
8. Globophobia - Fear of balloons popping People who have this phobia can fear balloons in general or the sound produced when a balloon is popped. I have no idea how on Earth people with this phobia will ever be able to arrange a birthday party for their kids! 
9. Geniophobia - Fear of chins This one sounds almost unreal. How can anyone fear a chin? How violent or deathly is a chin? People with this phobia cannot even interact or look at people whose chins they, well, don't like! 
10. Pogonophobia - Fear of beards One thing is for sure, people with this fear will have a hard time finding girlfriends! Or if girls have it, they'll have a hard time finding a guy! People who have this fear can have full blown panic attacks seeing people with beards. 
11. Ergophobia - Fear of work Now this is a very convenient phobia to have, and it directly means you won't have to work! People with this phobia have an irrational fear of the work environment or fear finding employment. 
12. Hippopotomonstrosesquipedaliophobia - Fear of long words Quite an ironic name for a phobia of long words! It's almost cruel. Ideally, this phobia wouldn't matter much to people who don't have to deal with long words in their daily routine. But if you aspire to be a spelling bee champ, god save you! 
13. Sanguivoriphobia - Fear of vampires At least people who suffer from this won't have to sit through the torture of the Twilight movie series! Such people have a fear of vampires and blood eaters. In fact, the word literally translates to 'fear of blood eaters'. Of course, people who have this fear take vampires to be real. 
14. Anthophobia - Fear of flowers And I used to think flowers are pretty and a refreshing sight! But for some people with this phobia, flowers are their worst fears come alive! Sufferers of this phobia have a fear of flowers or even of their petals or stems, even though they know that flowers pose no danger to them whatsoever! 
15. Pentheraphobia - Fear of mother-in-laws This is the discovery Indian bahus have been waiting for. The sufferers of this phobia have extreme fear of their mother-in-laws. Better start looking for an orphan partner then! 
16. Ablutophobia - Fear of bathing Okay, now this one is simply disgusting! But then there's not much you can do when you are scared of having a bath, can you? People with this phobia fear bathing and washing in general. And it happens to kids and women more than men. And all this, while I thought men don't have regular baths! 
17. Chrometophobia - Fear of money I wish everyone around me had this phobia so they'd pass all their money to me! People who have this phobia fear having excess money on them. 
18. Arachibutyrophobia - Fear of peanut butter sticking to one's palate Yes, this phobia is for real! Simply put, people who have this fear peanut butter sticking to the palate of their mouths. Of course, the best way to avoid this phobia is to not to have any peanut butter at all. Boom! Problem solved. 
19. Anatidaephobia - Fear of being watched by a duck This is seriously funny, but it's for real! People with this phobia fear that no matter where they are or what they are doing, a duck (yes! a duck) is watching them. No hen, no rabbit, specifically a duck. No comments. 
20. Genuphobia - Fear of knees or kneeling I'm not even surprised anymore. People who have this phobia have a fear of their own or someone else's knees. So, no skirts and shorts basically! 
21. Phobophobia - Fear of having a phobia Finally, there's a phobia of having phobias! People suffering from this phobia live in the fear that they might develop a phobia. Far too ironic.

the hitch between two vehicles
the vehicle itself careening questionably
up the mountain road, which is,
in my opinion, poorly designed, a hazard.
It is sometimes called the coast,
the coastal highway, but never
the cliff-side transfer whereby you take
your life in your hands, or more literally
the wheel in your hands, or the hands
beside which you sit, the wheel by which
many subtle gestures ensure
your safe arrival. Anyhow, it seems to me
a very poor choice of transit. However
much we love vehicular independence,
the illusion thereof. Or the glamour
of regency ghouls. That golden age.
Anyhow, the vehicle, she, why not,
that has many times been me,
and hardly splendorous, sinking
dolefully, doefully, dutifully
into the “lake,” rolling graceless over,
eating up the “blurred yellow lines,”
eating pavement, often graciously so.
I have been the pinch of weather
in the phenomenological space
between you lovers, the compartment
in which you exist hand to thigh.
The crowbar in the garden rusting
from strange use, with little ambition,
who would throw such a thing there?
And when I am no longer analogous,
