Along with the being the spookiest month of the year, October is also American Archives Month. Take a look at We the Poets, a project of poets reading poems they wrote inspired by holdings from the National Archives.

Get Lit–Words Ignite, a Los Angeles-based organization that engages at-risk youth through poetry has published this empowering and socially conscious collection of poems by teens. Featured alongside each poem is the classic poem that inspired it, the poet's story, and a series of writing prompts and discussion questions.
